Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Another valiant rescue attempt was made, pulling this thread from the insidious clutches of Page “Master of Disaster” #2!

Beautiful knife Dylan, tons of character, nicely photographed.;)

Thanks Dylan   Good to see you here mate, and that great pic of your Deakin, that's some beautiful bone :)

Thank you, fellas!

I was inspired to pull this one out today, due to Dwight’s lovely pics. It is the fanciest knife I own and though all of Jack’s SFOs are treasures, this is the one that comes closest to being a true “safe queen”. I know Damascus is supposed to be robust but I am always hesitant to put this beauty to any serious work, for fear of marring it in any fashion.

I’m particularly partial to the pile side, it has excellent Stag.

I've been looking forward to this bottle of Sam Smith's Stingo, so it was very disappointing when it poured completely flat :(

That’s a shame. :( That was one of my favorites when I tasted my way through all the Sam Smith’s varieties I could find last summer (as it should be, considering it cost more than a four-pack of their other beers). I can’t imagine it’s very good flat, though.

Here’s a photo from last summer, with my Ironwood Guardians Lambsfoot.

Got to start them young :) Never too early.

Definitely :) My grandfather gave me my first Lambsfoot. I remember thinking it looked rather odd! :D Obviously, I've since learned that granddad wasn't as green as he was cabbage-looking! :D ;)

Thanks once again Dylan, your fellow Guardians owe you a great debt for another daring rescue :) Definitely worthy of a mention in dispatches my friend

It's great to see that one again, thanks for showing it :) While I carry mine, I must say I've not done any rough work with it. If I'm not mistaken, think @eisman and @Nature Boy had the two others made. Another smashing pic Dylan :)

It definitely didn't taste right Barrett :( One never knows if it is a problem with the brewing or the bottling, either way the beer was ruined :( That bottle came in one of the mixed cases I bought from Sam Smiths. I enjoyed the others more. I'd been meaning to try Stingo for years, and only purchased my first bottle a few years back. Previously, I've enjoyed it, but for the price, there are other beers I enjoy more. Excellent photo buddy :)

Good morning Guardians, halfway through another week, don't they go fast?! I hope you're all having a good one. It rained here last night, so there's no need for me to water my neighbour's garden. I do have quite a few other chores to do though  Have a good day Guardians

I generally have several books on the go at once. Not a very disciplined approach, and I don't do that with fiction, but I read little of that these days. I'm still enjoying David Hayden-Wright's The Heritage of English Knives, but it's such a hefty tome that it's a PHYSICAL activity to read it! :D Plenty of Lambsfoot knives represented in the numerous photographs

Yes sir. It is one of Jack's SFO's from awhile back when he was "working" with A. Wright (or was it waging war?). Thank you again Jack for bringing us some of the finest knives on BF.
Thank you euroken. Here is another pic of it.View attachment 1554201View attachment 1554202
