I'm glad you understand, Jack.
The Ebony has a simple and sleek elegance to it.
But the Jigged Bone is Bold and Beautiful... makes for a tough choice.
Looks very raw outside where your walk took you
Another fine photo of your HHB keeping company with what looks to be a hand wrought bottle opener. Very interesting.Cheers Guardians![]()

Guardians, I hope you all have a fine Sunday - here in coastal NC we are getting rain all day. As it continues to move northward I imagine this will turn to snow and ice. I really don't care if I ever see that white stuff around here. More indoor chores to keep me busy today and I'll be carrying my Bagpipe ebony Lambsfoot to help out.

Jack's little Wasp keychain slingshot a few pages back made me want to share mine. Haven't banded it up and probably won't, but it's a fun addition to the keys.

Cheers chaps. It's the Great Hall in Winchester, the Anglo-Saxon capital of England. It's actually a table and the myth is that it's the Round Table of Arthurian legend. King Henry VIII believed it to be so and used it for some Tudor propaganda in the 16th century, which is when the painting was done. As always modern science came along and ruined everything. Dendrochronology proves the table dates from the 14th.I always enjy the pictures of your beautiful and historic country, David.![]()
LOL!Very cool Mike
My trusty Scout is right in front of me, where I can grab it to see off pesky pigeons!
Great to see your Charlie Lamb too buddy

I won't tell if you won't! We have them drumming and drilling our cedar shakes. Believe me, I've been tempted.......I wish I could use one on the woodpeckers that like to drum on the siding. Unfortunately, that would be illegal, as they’re federally protected.![]()
That's what I would have thought mateActually I've got to say when I was down under I found a lot, if not all pubs served pints. That was some years ago now so maybe things have changed.
LOL!Ha!! You can add clever, intelligent, cunning, devious, wiley, sneaky and a whatever else a thesaurus can provide to describe sqidges. They'd certainly have that sausage sammich off you if you turned your back.![]()
I'm surprised humans ended up ruling the world, as they are, in comparison, remarkably stupid...![]()
Cheers David, I'm just tipping back one of Saltaire's finest myselfAnd the day draws to a close...

That must be extremely irritating BarrettI wish I could use one on the woodpeckers that like to drum on the siding. Unfortunately, that would be illegal, as they’re federally protected.![]()

A visit with some good friends that don't get out much. The only fishing I'll be doing around here is of the ice variety....
![]()
Thanks, Jack! I'll always treasure them! Heat wave here today. It's 31F!That's what I would have thought mateI hope it's still the same
LOL!Yes indeed, I remember putting a simple bird feeder up on the tree in my front garden, many years ago. I walked back into the house, and the feeder was on the floor. I went to investigate, and in the space of about 3 minutes, it had been badly chewed, and then just ripped off the tree!
I was thinking of getting another, but there are always squirrels in my garden, and apparently they're offering a Nobel prize for anyone who invents a truly squirrel-proof feeder!
Some great videos online
Unfortunately, these past couple of weeks, the local squirrels have taken to foraging in my lazy idiot neighbour's over-filled bins, eating garbage, and littering my garden
