Oh Man! Nice.
Such tempting goodness.
Lucky enough to see him perform once, in Chicago. My kind of menu. For those Guardians who like Willie Nelson, this little joint out Hwy 71 west of Austin is one of his haunts great food and close to his old ranch. Have a great day all, I am starting mine with a suicide taco!View attachment 1740897
Great! Glad to hear your on the mend. But if you suddenly burst out crying, then a minute later burst out laughing. Then a minute after that, get an irresistible urge for beer on your cornflakes. Rest assured, it's all...completely normal....Gracias Donn, I'll be taking it easy to let the body heal.
No more skating for what's left of this winter for me. Next year I'll start slower, more aware of my limitations ( I am not 20 anymore lol ) and I'll be wearing a helmet 100 %
KO one for me but several people have related their experiences with concussions on the Porch
Me to.but I cut a lot of 5mm Paracord!![]()

Gorgeous pictures.Sorry you'll miss your weekly cake and crack (did I use the term correctly?) but I'm sure it's for the best. Stay healthy!
It's raining now, and will drop below freezing overnight, so Austin, Texas is closed for the rest of the week. No exaggeration: not only are schools closed, but the city announced that Capitol Metro buses will not be running except to assist in emergency services. I think we're traumatized by last year's winter storm. Probably for the best, considering what happens around here when the roads ice over.
I'll be hunkering down at home with a Lambsfoot, maybe make some beans & chili.
Last year:

What a great find Jack! Not dissimilar to the Zippo really. I've never used one but I bought my ex (who suffers from Raynauds) a couple and she loved them.A couple of weeks back, there was a small discussion about Zippo handwarmers in one of the Porch threads, with @Peregrin asking about them, I think. Well, this isn't a Zippo, but it's pretty old I reckon, older than the Zippo handwarmer, which (surprisingly) only dates to 2010

Well done Bill, you really have a nice spot thereGood morning Guardians. The beginning of the weekend is shaping up just fine. Going up to 70 deg F today and sunny. Working on a landscape project; putting in a new bed and steps to the dock. My HHB lending a helping hand.View attachment 1740880View attachment 1740881View attachment 1740882View attachment 1740883

I hope everyone is well and has a nice weekend planned.
I'm glad you're getting some Ken!What is this bright yellow round thing outside???

Thanks JackLOL!Wow David, what a superb run of photos
I rarely get cold hands, but I am very impressed with the Zippo, it runs for about 12 hours off a small amount of fuel
Nice to be reminded of what a proper pub looks like
My mate sometimes has those old cast iron fireside companions on his stall. I am really missing the Peak District at the moment, for most of my life, I could be out there in half an hour. There is some nice nice countryside near Leeds, but it is not spectacular like the Peak, and there's a lot less access. I've booked a couple of nights in Castleton in May, which I'm looking forward to
I hope everyone is having a good Saturday. It's rained heavily most of the day here, with strong winds. I did go out, but I can't say it was that much funWe don't seem to have had many weekends, where the weather wasn't abysmal, this year
Roll on summer!

Thanks JackYou should get out on the Marsden line into the Peaks.
That was another walk out of Glossop to Bleaklow Head.
That's 'Old Tom', available year round in bottles but generally only on draft in the winter, so a trip over to Stockport this morning to have three pints as it's years since I've had it in a pub. Mind you, it was £6.50 a pint!!!and it's brewed literally, 500 yards from the pub I was in.

Stockport does have some nice pubs though.
Thank you, Jack.Great pic John
You do have one of the best stag Lambsfoot knives, the colours really blend in well together, even in photos it looks like it would feel smooth in the hand. The Azaleas are getting hasty.

Sorry the weather keeps throwing a wrench into your plans.
Amen. We're in for rationing I bet, if we don't get enough rain this Spring.Still would love some more rain and snow.
