Some years ago, Outdoor Edge did a knife that was sold here as a Lambsfoot (though it has a parallel spine/edge).I hope Rough Ryder will make that one. They've been pretty slow with lambsfoots, though.
That's what I read, both words are still in daily use in the north of England. A number of hills have names which originate, wholly or partly, in Old Norse, including nearby Kinder ScoutThanks for the tour, Jack. [I was going to question the old Norseness but that's the sort of thing i should google.]
Nice JerThis is my first lambsfoot, except for the one I ground from a hawksbill and haven't seen since.

It's just that mam is Welsh for mother. Wikipedia says mam tor means mother hill, but doesn't say what language. So called because the unstable shale causes small hills to calve off of the big one, they say. That's what I read, both words are still in daily use in the north of England. I'm not quite sure what you mean Jer?Thanks. Yes, roughly ages. I went off it because the nail-nick swell obscured the descent of the spine.

Same in Yorkshire mateIt's just that mam is Welsh for mother. Wikipedia says mam tor means mother hill, but doesn't say what language. So called because the unstable shale causes small hills to calve off of the big one, they say.
A fine-looking Lamb
Thank you, Jack.A fine-looking Lamb
A tricky situation. I have a terrible poker face. It would have been difficult to keep my feelings to myself. Sounds like you managed to.Good morning Guardians, hope your week got off to a good start. I called in for a chip butty on my way to the pub, and then had a good session with my two pals. Unfortunately, a couple of hours in, we were joined at our table by a lady, who turned out to be the boss of my mate's wife. She sat down, and started talking, and didn't stop until closing time. My poor mate, who'd come all the way from Poland to see me, had to listen to her all night (me and my other friend just chatted between the pair of us)! Hopefully he can get over again, in a few months, and we can find somewhere completely off the beaten track!I'll hopefully be able to post the photos from my weekend away this morning, but for now, here's one of my Hartshead Barlow with a beer I had at the weekend, celebrating one of Sheffield's football teams, and the one I followed as a boy, Sheffield Wednesday. Have a good day Guardians

Like Sisyphus.visited the site, before tottering back down again in the dark (and rain, on one occasion), at the end of the night. I had a great time, but it was rather tiring.
Me too Harvey, absolutely terrible! I only have to be thinking about something irritating, and my girlfriend can tell!A tricky situation. I have a terrible poker face. It would have been difficult to keep my feelings to myself. Sounds like you managed to.

Thank you Jack. I would love to have been the fly on the wall as your pal launched an epic rant.Me too Harvey, absolutely terrible! I only have to be thinking about something irritating, and my girlfriend can tell!In this case though, it was only later that I found out who the woman was. With my pal feigning interest I assumed she was friend of his, and even bought her a drink!
It was only later that he told us who she actually was, he was livid!
Thanks HarveyThat Lambsfoot is gorgeous, it looks to have everything
