Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hope everyone is having a good day :) Lots of fun (and cakes) on the market today :) I'm tired out now! :D

Sounds like another good Thursday.

Did they only get half a haircut too? 😁

🤣🤣

Always a shame when it comes to an end Steve :( Thanks buddy, I had had 2 jam doughuts, and a couple of onion bhajis, before starting in on the cake. I wouldn't have bothered, but Tool Man was nearly in tears (and he'd a jam doughnuts, numerous sandwiches, several samosas, and a large egg custard)! 😭😂

Jack, I saw this photo recently of sandwiches for sale in London in 1972, and for some reason it made me think of your Thursday market visits…

Thanks Jack, didn't realize how long it had been. Doing OK my friend, all things considered.
That's good to hear pal
It is mate, i always try and support the local economy where i can, especially after what we have been through, bought some shirts and other things from local shops. There are only 3 places here where you can get a coffee really early, and i would support any or all of them, but give me something decent, one joint is terrible, i would rather just have a glass of water out of the tap. With tight times here and going to get worse people are a lot more selective, these business's have to lift their game, you might get away with it when times are good, but not in tough times. My rant for the day. 🥰 🥰 🥰
I know just what you mean Leon, it's depressing when you go into a place, and you can see that they're going to go bust. Like yourself, I am choosy where I drink my coffee, and only go to a few independent places, but there are others that want to charge you fancy prices for brown water, or where the service is bad. I am noticing a lot of places going downhill here at the moment, bad staffing, declining food standards, increased prices, and they're going to start closing. A couple of friends opened quite a large place less than a year ago, and a few of us went there a couple of times to support them, but nothing about the place was right - mediocre food, terrible service, no atmosphere, bad coffee, and high prices. Nobody was surprised when they soon went bust
You know, it's a funny thing... The economy is definitely becoming more strained here and yet there have been two new coffee shops built and opened in the last few months in our small town and also a fancy carwash / coffee house. Folks lined up to pay $5 for a cup. Seems like a strange time for it to be happening. But then times are strange all the way around.

Y'all take care and have a good evening, night, day.View attachment 1977889
Pretty strange times everywhere Dwight  I love that pic my friend, wonderful colours, really cool (as is your wee axe) :)
Sounds like two fun days in a row. Glad the HHB came through for you. 🤠
Thanks pal, I better get moving :D
Great to see you here Joshua, and your AC Lamb of course :) Hope you're keeping well my friend :)

Cool pic Barrett! :D How times have changed, we have better sandwiches now, but considerably higher prices. I pay £4 for a sourdough loaf, let alone a sandwich! I think Tool Man would have been scooping up a few of those sandwich stacks! :D

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone has made it through the week OK, and that you have a good Friday :) I better dash, as my mate will be on his way round soon, and I'm buying breakfast! :D Got my Hartshead Barlow in my pocket ;)

After cutting up some cardboard in the garden, I took my mate for breakfast in a nice family-run cafe :) Great service, and two huge breakfasts (4 rashers, 2 sausages, Spam, black pudding, scrambled eggs, 3 hash browns, baked beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, and a pile of toast), with 2 cups of coffee apiece, and 2 sausage rolls and a large doughnut to take away, for £24 :) That's pretty good here these days

Thank you, Jack. We've been under the weather this past week or so, but are almost on top again.

Morning Guardians !

I was looking for some old pictures that I had stored on Flickr when I came across this album.

This is a pocket slip I made out of an old wallet for my original Charlie Lamb, the one I foolishly sold. I had forgotten that I had these pictures. I still have the slip and I'm carrying my Charlie Lamb today so here's a link to some pics with the original.

Nice work Steve :)
Good Afternoon Guardians💂‍♀️

This is a weird one for me. Paid next to nothing. Plastic halfs, nail knick not on show side, but a real solid user. Real grippy. Possibly a Frankenstein, but who cares. It will cut.

Not a Frankenstein Harvey, and your photography skills elevate that monster to a new level! :D ;) Nothing wrong with the steel despite a lack of frills though :) Who actually made them, I don't know, the past few decades have been strange ones for TEW. I don't think they were made in China though, the quality would be better

I remember how depressed I was, when they subsequently launched this similar range, using the same type of construction. Again, who knows where they were made. TEW have been getting their kitchen knives made in China for years now, and some online detective work, a decade back, turned up an email from their gaffer trying to get pocket knives made in China
