Nice place to celebrate the holiday season.
Good evening Guardians. Cold blast came through today. Going into the teens I'm afraid. Indoor sports only for the next couple of days. My HHB will be in the pocket helping open gifts and no doubt breaking down boxes.

Good evening Guardians. Saturday Afternoon here on Christmas Eve. Just having a cup of tea after doing some cooking, beautiful day, but gets hot from tomorrow. Did not want to be stuffing around in the heat tomorrow, so cooked some things i can have cold tomorrow. Will have the blinds drawn to keep the joint cool, and did not want to heat it up by cooking. Enjoy your Christmas Eve when you awaken and avoid the last minute rush if you can, the shops here were jam packed this morning, i just nicked over to the supermarket to grab something, if it was crowded was going to turn straight around and outta' there. Was in out in 2 minutes, might be the new time to shop on Christmas Eve, late. That's your Christmas Present.

Thank you Pete, they're at the main entrance to the hotel, but since I arrived n daylight, and have only used the beach entrances since, I only saw them yesterday

It's before 9.00am here, and I was going to sit out on the balcony for a while (with the room curtains closed and the ceiling fan on - paid extra for air-con, but there isn't any). However, the sun is too bright to see the screen of my phone, so I'm back inside Good morning Guardians, first time I've been on this kind of vacation where most folks just want to laze around by the pool. I was going to go off on another adventure today, but I decided I should try and rest. My ankle is hurting from a long hike on Wednesday, mostly in soft sand, and my legs, knees, and pretty much the rest of me, is aching too! I'm used to rushing around sight-seeing on holiday, but I'm a lot older than the last time I went away. So, against my nature, I'm going to try to do as little as possible today, and hope I'm feeling less worn out tomorrow
I hope you've all got everything together for the big day, and that you have a wonderful Christmas Eve

Cool Christmas pic Yes, it's a very long time since I've walked on soft sand, and I've never walked for 5 miles in it, followed by another couple of miles, with a couple of very steep ascents and descents. I hadn't planned it, but I find it hard to stop sometimes, and the scenery was beautiful. I was limping very heavily yesterday, so hopefully some rest will be beneficial

First day I'm good for about half an hour in the sand before my back starts to cramp up... but every day gets better and eventually you get used to it.

A couple of nights ago we had some fillets. Our intention was to grill them but because of the frigid temperatures we cooked them inside. My son wanted to cook them and when I snapped this photo it occurred to me that now that old cast iron skillet has been used by four generations of our family.
I wish my son and his great grandmother could’ve met, she would’ve been proud of him, as I am.

Peace to all the Guardians, especially if you have any last minute rushing around to do. We've been hit with a cold snap here in SW Florida, the temp right now is only 40°, with an expected high of just 49°. Feels like Christmas back in Missouri. Everyone, have a blessed holiday!
