I managed to find all the bits and pieces I needed in town, and had an early lunch at the Tunisian cafe in the market πŸ˜‹ I was also able to buy some young feller his lunch, which is always nice πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Thanks. I'll have to hoard that stuffed lamb; its Mom-and-Pop manufacturer has shut down.

Good morning Guardians, I called in at Charlie's for a coffee, yesterday afternoon, before picking up Matt. I had expected last night's event to be a boozing session, but as the play took up most of the evening, and a poor selection of beers on offer, that didn't happen. I can't say I slept well again, but I'm sure I feel a whole lot better than I would have done after multiple pints! :D Quite a relief, as I still have plenty to do before my vacation on Thursday ;) I hope everyone's week got off to a good start :) I have my Hartshead Barlow back in my pocket today :) Have a good day Guardians
Have a great trip, Jack!

LOL! Thanks Bob, it wasn't an expensive one, young feller was admiring the food, but only had a card to pay, and they only take cash there (very sensibly in my opinion) :D He seemed like a nice lad :) Always nice to put a smile on someone's face :)
Was he cooking it in lard? 🀣 HHB looking good! πŸ‘πŸ€
I would say, almost certainly, particularly considering he was adding both bacon and black pudding to his omelette! :D He was telling me about buying an old Lister engine at the weekend, which were once used here for powering everything from threshing machines to coal barges. I've worked on scores of them, maybe hundreds, as when I was an apprentice mechanic, they were still a mainstay of the city council's 'fleet'. Surprisingly, considering the numbers made, they're a bit of a collector's item now. Tool Man, being as canny as he is tight-fisted, worked out years ago that if you are displaying a vehicle, old engine, or some kind of collection, you are, (at the very least), admitted free of charge to all the steam rallies and agricultural shows he attends. So, Β£160 for a working Lister engine is a good investment! :D ;)

As my knives have to go in my checked luggage, I'll be leaving my Hartshead Barlow back at Grumble Towers, and taking Wee Staggy as my Lambsfoot travelling companion :)

Thanks a lot Rachel :)
Nice pic of your HHB !
Thank you Steve :)
Some spalted beauties shown lately, Dwight and Bob, wonderful variety! I'm still totin' Gidge . . . never thought I could like a single blade this much, until Jack opened my eyes with the Guardians' 18, my RALF. I now carry a lambsfoot as much, or more, than a stockman!

Great pic Jeff :) Lambsfoot'll get the job done :)

This lovely smooth white stag lamb arrived by surprised from bigfish64 bigfish64 . Thank you so much my friend!! It is a very nice example and you did a great job on the covers. Had to carry this beauty today.

Enjoying some BBQ at a decent local smokehouse. It's not Texas BBQ but it hits the spot well enough. Hope everyone is having a great day.

Extremely nice gesture on Todd's part. Good to see craftsmanship alive and well.

Well deserved on your part Paul ( from personal experience).

That meal is a big step up from yesterday Paul!

Thank you, Bob. I have been lucky to meet a bunch of great and generous guys here. Made it easy for a new guy like me to find a second home on bladeforums. You included my friend.

Good looking lamb, Paul. Great work, Todd.

This one has pretty much kicked all others out of my pocket.
