Thanks pal, the forecast rain and thunder storms never came today, not yet anyway, and it is 5.00pm here. I hope you get some rain soonWe could use some of your rain here in Wisconsin. Dry as a bone in my neck of the woods. Hope it clears up for you in time for the market, Jack. Albers is looking better than ever buddy.
Kudos to your wife PaulLast day off before heading back to work. Honestly, work might be easier than handling these 3 boys. I don't know how my wife did it alone for 6 months. Mothers have a super human ability when it comes to kids. Took the family to Culvers and now it's movie time. Got the '19 in the pocket today.

Yesterday, cinemas around the country here were showing screenings of The Wicker Man, but my mate Matt, who I usually go to see movies with, was working, and the nearest place participating was on the other side of town. I was just thinking about watching it on DVD at home, when Nobber Al asked if I'd like to go, so I put my shoes on, booked a taxi, and headed out of the door, meeting Al in a lovely old pub, The Cardigan Arms, where I broke my dry spell with a pint of one of my favourite locally-brewed alesHi Guardians, I ended up going out to see the 50th Anniversary Director's Cut of The Wicker Man! Just after my last post, Nobber Al rang me, and suggested it, so I grabbed my jacket, and caught a taxi to the other side of town. It's midnight here now, so I'll have to catch up tomorrow![]()
Nicely captured Dwight, that's a beauty
Glad you enjoyed the walk Leon, and I hope you are looking forward to the longer daysFirst day after the Winter Solstice here, so we are over the Hump, today will be longer than yesterday. And what a beautiful Winters day it is, cold and crisp with no clouds and not a breath of wind, just been for a long walk to make the most of it. I love these sorts of days but we don't get many..

Not a bad 'work station' buddy!First day back to work since moving my family up here. Happy to get back into the routine. Still no rain in the forecast. Kids are getting nervous that we won't be able to set off fireworks for the 4th lol. Sitting on top of an artillery observation point and eating an apple for breakfast. Got the Charlie lamb in the pocket today. Hope everyone has a great day.

Looks great KurtNo mohawk for me. I have been scalped naturally. People tell me I have a nice shaped head for a bald guy. I take no comfort in that. And I went bald in my twenties. My lack of good taste was apparent to all when I let the ring of hair I had grow and cultivated a small pony tail.
Anyway it’s a nice morning here in Santa Cruz. The beaches will be full. And the Boardwalk amusement park will have patrons screaming on the Big Dipper roller coaster. I will be carrying this lambsfoot as I go into town to do errands. Not much happening with the critters. The usual turkeys, stellar jays, wood peckers coming by for some seed. Have a good Thursday Guardians.

Al arrived, but we only had time for another half pint before heading across the road to the cinema. It was booked up, and we ended up getting the last 2 seats, which were next to the wall, in the first 2 rows. We sat through the ads and trailers, and then there seemed to be a short presentation feature about the film. Unfortunately, this failed to take into account that some of those in attendance had not yet seen the movie, which caused some to rush out the doors, with their hands over their ears! It was also rather boring, with most of those being interviewed having little, or nothing to do with the film, and even less of interest to say. The feature was stretched out with clips from the movie, which seemed pointless, at best, when we were about to view it in full. It lumbered on for an hour and 40 minutes, by which time half the cinema had mutinied, and demanded a refund!Al and I moved to better seats, and the restored Wickerman was as enjoyable as ever, but by this time, having been sat in the theatre over 2 hours, we were all rather exhausted, and wanting a pint
I should have watched the DVD

Hi Guardians, I hope everyone is having a good dayContrary to expectations, it's been hot, sunny, and humid here. Tool Man has confessed to secretly dieting at home, but there was certainly no restraint on his greed today!
On the way through the indoor market, I picked up an apple pie, and one of his favourite cakes. Tool Man snatched them out of my hands, and ripped off the cellophane wrapping, quartering the pie, and shoving a fat piece into his fatter mouth!
![]()
With his mouth still stuffed with pie, Tool Man marched to the tea van, returning with his regular Belly Buster sandwich, and having gobbled that down in a minute or so, he attacked the cake!Ex-Para Steve came over with a box of chocolates, and Tool Man scarfed a few, along with some chocolate cookies that someone else brought along
![]()
At lunchtime, I bought some onion and potato bhajis, and handed them round, and after scoffing his share of those, Tool Man went and bought a large pork pie and a large Cornish pasty, wolfing them down, with brown sauce!

Golden Gordan asked me to look over some knives for him, and one of them had been a Lambsfoot!Somebody loved it

A Nowill Bob. I'm sure Gordan would have given it to me, but the nail nick was well into the liners, and I didn't think it was interesting enough to bother with reallyVery interesting old lamb Jack.
So much for toolman slimming down.
He said, he is "eating a bit less, and drinking a bit less" PaulAn eventful day for you at the marketJack Black . Glad Tool Man is dieting behind the scene. Wonder what a diet for such a well oiled machine like Tool Man consists of? Always look forward to the pictures from your visits at the market. Lovely lamb as always, buddy.
Interesting question Charlie, and off-hand I can't recall one, though Lambsfoot knives seem to come in a multitude of shapes and sizesHave you ever seen a Teardrop Lambsfoot before, Jack??

That knives served it's owners well.A Nowill Bob. I'm sure Gordan would have given it to me, but the nail nick was well into the liners, and I didn't think it was interesting enough to bother with reallyStrangely, he does look like he's lost a few pounds, and I'm wondering if he has a tapeworm, because I can't see how else that could happen!

He said, he is "eating a bit less, and drinking a bit less" PaulOne of his diet adjustments is to replace his usual fried Full English Breakfast with a black-pudding, bacon, and cheese omelette, fried in lard
Only on some days of course!
Thanks a lot pal, very kind of you

He certainly hoovered up that sandwich!I was going to take a photo of him eating it, but he had it all over his face, and it looked pretty disgusting!
I have had to throw my clothes in the washing-machine, because I was sat less than six feet away from him when he was stuffing pork pie into his mouth!

No doubt Amigo!Yes, I've seen a few Lambsfoot knives over the yearsI had to buy this old TEW Lambsfoot, it had jigged bone covers, and apart from the massive amount of wear to the blade, it was in decent shape
