Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

That's how just about everyone has it here Barrett :) Cool pic, I like your mug

Thanks, Jack. I bought that mug at a little farm shop/cafe near Bath where we had breakfast several times when we visited. They had great bacon sandwiches!

Numbering them is a good idea Barrett, I am due for a new one myself :) Stunning shot of your Albers Lamb

I’ve found it helpful as I sometimes go back to a previous notebook looking for some bit of info, and it helps to have them in order.

Before I started using this style of notebook, I used the little hardcover Moleskine ones, admittedly having been sucked in by their marketing about being the notebook used by Hemingway et al. πŸ™„ I find these Field Notes-style notebooks much more convenient for carrying around with you, I prefer the Word. brand mostly because their covers seem to hold up better.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone made it through the week OK. I had a great night out, though it's hard not to feel thoroughly ripped off when you're being charged Β£25 to sit on a hard, straight-backed chair, crammed together like sardines in a can, and paying Β£7 for a plastic beaker of badly-served beer, which is well short of a pint  However, it was great to see my old friends, and the rotten DJ, who prevented us conversing last time, had been given the boot :) The fights were of mixed quality, but there were a few good ones. Wolfie drew a tough-looking opponent, but dropped him twice in the first round, before the ref stopped the fight. We found a late-night bar to drink in, and stayed there until 2.30am, which is why I'm late posting today :D Inspired by Barrett's beautiful photos, I'm carrying my Albers Lamb today :) Have a great Saturday Guardians, and a lovely weekend

Good to hear that Wolfie did well, and that you weren’t subjected to the DJ again this time. Cool shots of your Albers!

Finally the weekend! A whole week off too... we're going to the beach. My excitement level is not what it should be but it'll be fun.

Feeling better now and the Covid symptoms are subsiding.
I made it untill the Monday after Easter this year without COVID and it hit me like a ton of bricks that day. Very dizzy, fever.. It subsided in three days though. My F.I.L. was down and out for a couple weeks but he has other health issues. It seems to effect everyone differently and thankfully you are on the mend! Hope it wasn't too bad for you.

Joy to the world...it's Friday for some; for me everyday is Saturday.😁View attachment 2267151
That is another gorgeous knife. Wow.
use Luzianne for sweet tea,
Around here Turners tea comes in milk jugs and I pretty much had one with me for most of my life. Anyone south of here will scoff, sure! It's not really tea... More like tea flavored sugar water.

Had to give it up along with cigarettes and already lost weight. I guess that water stuff is actually good for you. Who knew?!?!

Anyways those Luzianne tea bags make WAY better iced tea/sun tea than any other normal grocery store teas. Good stuff.

always have at least half a dozen tins in the cupboard.
I usually keep a handful of anchovies tins here. The ones nicely wrapped around capers! Very tasty. Never tried sardines I'll have to grab some.

Pile side the same
Thanks! Nope! It has a gnarly gouge in it.

Have a good one, everybody! I'm gonna go throw a bunch of random stuff in a bag so it looks like I'm packed and ready to go.

Nice souvenir Barrett πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘

It's a very good idea Barrett. I used to use them as order books for my SFOs, so I could keep track of everyone's details, and tracking numbers, etc. So some of those books are marked on the cover, and I still use those books when I am sending gifts πŸ™‚

When I did a lot of travelling, I used notebooks similar to the Moleskine ones, but I also prefer the Field Notes type, and while they're not cheap here, they're not a rip-off, and are a good size. I sometimes use the waterproof ones too, and I still have the 2 Word brand ones you kindly sent me πŸ™‚ That's a great photo, you have quite a stack of notebooks πŸ‘

Thanks mate, everybody was glad to see the back of the DJ πŸ‘

That's cool-looking stag on your Lambsfoot Rick, but I'm afraid the other knife doesn't belong in this thread 😱

Have a great time πŸ™‚πŸ‘

Same for me. 3 bad days and now just left with a runny nose and cough.
