Yay! 😋 Great post David, food of the gods my friend! :D  What did you think to that Yellow Bird?
That's a looker Pete
Carrying this gifted by Dan sf fanatic sf fanatic Long Bolster Lambfoot. A.Wright lists this as a Barlow but that's a stretch. I call it a Short Bolster Barlow. Whatever anyone chooses to call it, it's a nice knife.

A great-looking knife, for sure, Ed, and a generous gift  So, did you get to see any of the Burning Man crowd?! :D

I remember missing the days when my kids napped! 😁

On the one hand it’s good because you don’t have to plan your day around it if you’re going out to do something, but on other days it was nice to have a couple hours of peace and quiet to get stuff done.

I liked those tough early Nokia's, once saw one get run over, and it was fine! 😁👍

Remember they made protective cases for those? I think maybe they were meant to protect the floor. 🤣

Good idea mate 😊 It's in the 70's here today, hotter than it was in July! 🤔

We’ve had another run of days in the mid-90s here. Can’t really complain, it’s certainly worse other places, but it has been warm. Supposed to drop into the 70s starting Wednesday.

The harissa was extra hot today! Warm weather and spicy food has me dripping like a leaking tap! 😱😁

Looks pretty tasty! 😋

Leeds Library's Word of the Day is of Scottish origin today ;)

I think I prefer the Hobbits’ term for it. 😁

Good morning Guardians !

Had a nice time over at my brothers yesterday. We hung out outside as long as we could bare it, being that it was 97° and humid. We still had a nice get together. Cassie and her cousin Remi weren't quite as playful due to the heat.

This is what how they play when it's hot 😁

Not a lot of running around going on.

It's going to be over 100° today so we will be laying low inside. We did get over to the dog park early this morning beat the heat.

'19 was riding shotgun 👍

Hope you’re staying cool, Steve.

Fantastic movie! It’s been a while since I’ve watched it, probably due for another viewing.

Albers Lamb for me again today.

It comes as a bit of a shock, but in a good way, when they're all in skool! 🤣

They were BEASTS! :D Going back to what you were saying before Barrett, the only phone I ever messed up was one I had which even pre-dated those Nokias! I was walking along Sheffield canal about 25 years years ago, and I slipped, and and my left leg went in past the knee. Unfortunately, I had combats (BDUs) on, and my phone was in the leg pocket, so it was an expensive slip. I was with my two youngest daughters, who were trying hard not to laugh! 🤨😉

That is a classic example of a simple work knife from past days. No frills no glitter, just a work tool. It is so easy to forget that knives are only tools, designed to be carried and used when required for specific tasks. " Oil The Joints - And Keep 'Em Sharp ", pretty simple logic and philosophy that has worked since we evolved. 👌

The school that hired me to move to Idaho has its first day of its second year of service to local families. We had orientation last week and I’ve been busy helping restructure the curriculum, train and support the teachers, and prepare for my own classes I’ll be teaching. I’m quite ready to be done with planning and be back in the classroom with students. Hopefully we’ll learn a lot and enjoy doing so for the next 9 months!

They do other products too, but that's the only one I've tried so far 😋
Cool pic David :)

They look very tasty Daniel 😋 Great pic :)

Good morning Guardians, how's everyone doing, what did you folks in the USA get up to for Labor Day? I always find 3-day weekends a bit disorientating for the rest of the week! :D The sun is shining here again, we're not used to it! Despite the temptation to carry my treasured Albers Lamb, I'm going to stick with my plan to carry this old German Lambsfoot, Schultz!:D Have a great day Guardians

I'm blown away by the fantastic covers on that lamb, Dwight.

Best of luck to you in your new job this year, Joshua. Having a fine lamb like that in your pocket surely couldn't hurt.
Your German lamb is a looker, Jack, and even shines even more out in the wild.
