I always preferred corned beef to Spam. Thankfully, there was no super-cheap alternative to corned beef my mother could find (though she'd buy the cheapest brand), as there was with Spam - 'luncheon meat', which we called 'pink lint'It is very tasty and like you, I'm the only one here who will eat it. They dislike any canned meats, even the corned beef I use for hash.
More for me I say! Spam isnt all that common around here and many people will turn their nose up at it.
When I was in the culinary academy 21 years ago, there was a fella from Hawaii in our class. At one point we all had to come up with a dish from our local areas and this guy put canned pineapple onto spam slices and grilled it with some kind of sweet sauce on top.... it was oddly delicious. I've been a fan of spam ever since.
Very nice KurtThanks. Here’s a pic of the stag (edit:MAMMOTH) I got to choose from. The top right piece I got on another knife. So I picked one of those gnarly pieces.

LOL!Bob thanks for the Haiku. And the buttys were delicious. I gotta get some spam. I ate it all the time growing up. They have different flavors now like bacon ummmmm. Honestly between some sushi with fish or spam I’d pick the spam. They have teriyaki flavored spam too. I’m feeling like a spam chip butty. By the way I watched the Galloping Gourmet when I was eating my spam sandwiches in my younger days.
Sounds like a great start to the day Jeff, Gidge is looking goodFried jalapeño spam and melted sharp cheddar for breakfast this morning. Gidge in pocket, but didn't need her.
