Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

When I had my groceries delivered on Sunday, I put these chicken tenders in the fridge rather than the freezer, so I thought I'd better eat 'em! :D Kind of overdid it with the hot sauce after I took the pic! 🥵🤣

Two knives and no fork? I gotta try that!

You never tried that Vince? 🤔 In Texas?! :D;)

Historically, of course, forks arrived rather late to the dinner party ;) :D

I once heard an old English comedian joke that in Yorkshire, people thought cutlery was jewellery! :D I couldn't understand why everyone laughed! 🤔🤣

There is a barbecue place in Lockhart, Texas that historically does not provide utensils (although I think they now provide plastic utensils if you buy beans or potato salad). I remember eating barbecue brisket and sausage there, with onions, tomatoes, and jalapeños, using only my hands and a trapper knife I had with me. Great barbecue!

Hello, Guardians. My day started out with a fright. Woke up and used the restroom as always. On the way out my son Eli was standing at the door and said “Good Morning” in an evil voice 😂😂😂. He got me good. I am usually the only one up at that hour and was not expecting that!!!! We had a good laugh after. All I could think of was Hannibal Lector in his cell looking at me and saying it.

Other than that, it will be a normal workday. Dinner at my parent’s house later. I think my mom is cooking up some kalbi 🤤.

Happy to report that I have transitioned from American chewing tobacco to Swedish Snus. Much safer and really delicious. Titusville lamb riding in the pocket. Hope everyone had a great day.

My kids are 20 and 23, and they still try to scare me! 🤣

Some more customs. I am the maker and have paid knifemaker membership. One of these has been gifted and to the best of my knowledge the others have been sold. If this is unacceptable to post these pics, let me know and I will remove.

I was meaning for the kids Barrett! :D I've avoided Harry Potter, and am only vaguely aware of Bluey, but I liked Lego as a kid, though it was simpler then, as well as a lot cheaper. When I was a very young boy, before I started skool, my auntie and godmother was engaged to marry one of Furness clan from Stannington. On a sunny Bank Holiday Monday, I walked, with my mum and dad, my uncles, and aunties, to the Robin Hood pub at Little Matlock in the Loxley Valley below Stannington, which I think, at some point, had been been owned by one of the Furness men, for a family get-together. Also present was the Barlow family, who were friends of both families. Young Steven Barlow was 2 or 3 years older than me, and I remember his mother singing the praises of Lego, a tin of which I was subsequently bought

Great story, Jack! I loved Lego when I was a kid. I had a friend who would get a Lego set, build it and then display the finished product on a shelf. My brother and I would build a set once, then take it apart and dump all the pieces into a giant plastic tub with every other Lego set we’d ever owned.

Thanks for sharing the pics of your trip to Matlock. (I did my best, every time I read the name, not to think of the show starring Andy Griffith that my grandma used to watch when we’d visit her house as kids.) 😁

The petrifying well is interesting. Sounds like a creative way to monetize having hard water. 🤣

Christmas tree day!!!!!! Had a great family day at the Christmas tree farm. Enjoying some Mexican red bears and about to watch “Oppenheimer” now. Hope everyone is having great weekend.

Good looking tree, Paul.🎄

Took this one last night at dinner and then promptly forgot to post it. Mrs. Bigfish out did herself. Pork chop smothered in mushrooms with wine sauce. 😉👍View attachment 2412194

Looks good, Todd!

The snow gods have been stingy here in Minnesota so far. We got a bit this morning (slightly more than a dusting), but the sun took care of most of it by the afternoon. This was the biggest snowman the girls could manage (and that was only because earlier in the day I had swept the snow off the deck into a small pile that remained shaded most of the day).

I think I remember you, or someone else, mentioning that place before Vince  Sounds absolutely delicious 😋 Of course, a few hundred years back, you had to take your own cutlery, even if you were dining with Royalty. Those were fixed blade knives, carried in a trousse for the posh folks, but when folding knives came along, their primary use was as eating implements

LOL! :D There's nothing kids love more! 🤣 Having said that, the scariest thing my kids ever did to me, when they were little, was make me breakfast in bed! I opened my eyes, and there was a mug of tea inches from my face! Turned out it was cold anyway, as was the toast, but of course I had to drink some of it, before I could discreetly throw it down the sink :D

Hope you enjoyed dinner Paul, sounds delicious 😋 Very interesting about the snus. Do you want me to send you some snuff over? :D Cool pic buddy :)
Sun came out and I got a bonus shot of Gidget catching some rays !

Afternoon Guardians! Kat is out and about today!

Great to see Kat out of the bag David :D ;) Hope you're doing OK my friend :)
Always impressed with the many great pictures that the Guardians produce.

While I enjoy beans on toast as much as the next guy, I actually prefer beans with crackers for the enhanced tactile taste. :)

Very interesting :) I recall seeing other Guardians having baked beans and crackers :)
Rosewood again.

😆😆 I eat them with crisp bread or even jatz crackers with a dash of white pepper yum.
:D

Yeah, I've seen people frame jigsaws! 🤣 With me, it was a big old biscuit (cookie) tin, which seemed almost as indestructible as the Lego! :D Lego seems as popular as ever. There's actually a Lego shop in Leeds, but I've never been in

I did the same a few times Barrett, and I haven't even seen the show (just the ads)! :D Funny how a TV show cann change everything. When my eldest daughter was born, there was a lady in the same ward as her mother, called Mrs Blackadder! :D She had always been very proud of her obscure name (there were half a dozen in the Sheffield phone book), and then her life was ruined, she claimed, because after the TV series came out, every time she said her name, people smirked. She hated Rowan Atkinson! :D

LOL! :D Yeah, shame it wasn't open :D

Cool pic my friend :) Weird that we have had more snow here than in Minnesota! :D

Good morning Guardians, cold outside again, but I might venture out today. First I have to check on a couple of deliveries. And get a shave! Fancied carrying something old today ;) Have a great day Guardians

Stay warm Jack, supposed to get to a 100 by Saturday 😉
The bands are supposed to last 48 days continuous, I get 3 to 4 days they come with individual resealable bag. I take it off around dinner time.
Nice knife, have a good day mate.

Thanks buddy, don't over-bake! :D I'm grateful for the info Mitch, I'll give them a try sometime :)
