In Sheffield, back in the mid 19th century, two hitmen, working for the powerful Saw Grinders Union, Sam Crookes and Jem Hallam, famously (and fatally) shot a 'Blackleg, a sweater of boys, and an enemy of the union', James Lindlay, with an air rifle, in The Old Crown Hotel, on Scotland Street. The pub still stands, but neither the current owners, nor one Sheffielder in 10,000 knows anything about this piece of history :rolleyes:

I hope that everyone is having a good day :) The wind here, has been blowing like Billy-O all day, and rain has been lashing my windows. I got most of my chores done, but my toothache is back, and so I'm gargling whisky, which would be better saved, for better things :rolleyes: ;) :thumbsup:
