Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

She's a full size Bull Terrier.View attachment 2136097
I'm a little late to this, but I have to say beautiful dog. I had a bull terrier for 15 years. She was brindle colored. I miss her so much. Like someone else said, he never met a bull terrier without a personality. A crazy personality, but nevertheless a personality. I couldn't last more than 30 seconds looking at mine before a smiled 😁 and laughed πŸ˜†πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. Even if she was sleeping I would still smile and laugh. They certainly are clowns. I only say that because 20+ years ago I did a lot of research before forking out the dough because they ain't cheap and I made sure to go through a good, reputable dealer with good blood lines. With all the research I did, pretty much every description of them always called then clowns or clownish. That always confused me because I would just think, "what does that even mean, clownish?" Well, it didn't take much time after first getting mine to realize that they definitely are clowns and clownish hahaha. I was kind of lucky because she was the runt of the litter, had a little kink in her tail, and kind of had a belly button from a problem when removing the umbilical cord. I say lucky because I only had to pay $700 for her while a ridiculously good looking brother from the same litter was $8.5k. I've never seen a bull terrier that had such a gorgeous reddish gold color (like a vizsla) that had perfect body, proportions, etc and an almost perfectly symmetrical color pattern. They came from an awarded show dog mother, but mine certainly didn't have the show dog features like her brother had hahaha. I still think of how incredibly good looking he was, as well as how well behaved he was as a puppy while his sister, mine, was a maniac πŸ˜‚πŸ€£. She was a maniac but she was always incredible with babies, children, and little kids... adults not so much hahaha. Seriously she was an absolute angel with little kids even when she was a puppy. I pretty much refuse to believe there's ever been another dog of any breed that was as incredible with little kids as she was. She wouldn't even allow my other 2 dogs (one was Β½ German Shepard Β½ Greyhound - outrageously fast, outrageously intelligent and pretty much a perfect dog that never did anything won't it even slightly misbehave and the other was Β½ Rottweiler Β½ Golden Retriever that was named The Dude - I'm one of the few people that actually saw The Big Lebowski in the movie theater hahaha and instantly loved that movie - and he behaved exactly like the Dude. He was very big and tall almost Great Dane size, 130lbs but had no fat on his body. He'd run about 5-10 miles everyday with my father he was a frequent marathon runner and did about 2 Ironmans each year which worked out incredibly well because having a 130lb+ dig that lived 17 years was pretty amazing. Anyway, like the Dude, he was a pacifist. He was very intimidating looking, but he didn't have a mean bone in his body... unless you were a squirrel, raccoon, or possum (our backyard became a graveyard of those things hahaha. My bull terrier and Β½ Greyhound Β½ German Shepherd would spot them, bark and notify The Dude, and he'd quickly go and take care of business πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ hahaha.)
I actually found your picture and post because I was looking at a picture of a Medford M48 and it looks like a bull terrier is engraved into the pocket clip. I'm assuming it definitely is because the it's named after the M48 tank/M48 Patton. I just became interested in if there are any other knives that have bull terrier associations with the Keanison Bull Terrier certainly taking the leaf (which I've wanted to get one for awhile now). Anyway, I'm a enormous fan of bull terriers. I'd say they are certainly not a good breed for beginners, but for people that have had large dogs before and have a family and kids it's hard to imagine they're any breed that's better.
I'm sorry for being so long winded, it's just when I see a bull terrier it brings up so many great memories and emotions. I actually got mine within a month after finally getting it off the hospital from being a passenger in a fatal car accident that left me in a coma for more than 7 weeks and with a paralyzed left arm as well as quite a few other injuries. That dog (the other 2 did were just as important) got me through a lot of very hard times and will always be extremely special and important for me. Now it's next to impossible for me to see a bull terrier or even hear the words bull terrier and not smile and bring up so many wonderful memories. I hope you're bully is still doing well and thank you for posting a picture of such a beauty!

Thanks Jack.
I'm glad your 40,000 mile checkup went well.πŸ‘πŸ»

Good news !
Thanks gents :)
   It's a hard gig. Time consuming, laborious, dirty and despite what many think not much money in it. They are skilled craftsman who need to be supported otherwise it will be another skill lost to time. Rant for the day.

Yeah, very few of the lads I went to school with went into the cutlery trade, only one or two from my class, and they just ended up being used as a cheap labour, and sweeping the floor, until they were able to find other jobs :(
You are knocking it out of the park with your photography Steve! :cool:β€οΈπŸ‘
Oak and croc

If you are wondering croc wristband, I pretty much always wear a wrist band on the bad 1. Although it's fused, ti plate from middle of hand to top of scar.
Now THAT's a KNIFE! :D Glad the croc didn't get you Mitch :)
:eek::eek: Sliding down the page. Rectified. ;)
Thanks Leon :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone's week is going well. Mine is certainly going FAST! No market today, as Tool Man is going under the knife, but I have the dentist this morning, so I better get myself together. Carrying my GL-24 :) Have a great day Guardians

I hope you get to see the sun Jer
Thank you kindly Jack !

Best of luck at the dentist !
Thanks Steve, I have to go back for a filling, (caused when a previous dentist hit me in the teeth with the dental pliers), but apart from that, it was a clean bill of health :)
Stunning! πŸ’š:DπŸ‘
Good morning everyone and I hope it’s a great one for each of ya. View attachment 2768280
You too Daniel, looks like some lollygaggin' going on there! :D
Thanks Steve :)
Is that a newer translation of Epictetus behind that lovely knife? I am no Stoic, but his aggressive writing style often makes me laugh. (Not very many famous writers refer to their own readers as "poor wretches", for example.)
I remember feeling like that reading Joyce! :D ;)

I hope everyone is having a good day :) It has been a miserable day here, feeling very cold, and wet too :( After leaving the dentist, I headed for a coffee in town, and ended up bumping into a friend of mine. After coffee, I decided to go to the market, and warmed myself up with some chips and gravy. Unfortunately, I had got mixed up when I changed my trousers, and pocketed L'Ariete, instead of Smudge  I called to see Boring Ray, and chatted to him until I could stand no more, then went to see the Iranians for a haircut, called in at the bank, and headed back home, where I gave the central heating thermostat a Tufnel Twist ;)

No moss is growing under your feet Jack.
Chips look appealing, but I prefer a good balsamic vinegar πŸ˜‹

That rich gravy goes down well on a cold day! :D

This is typical of my conversations with Tool Man during the summer months:

"Do you want some chips?"

"No."

Then

"Why didn't you get chips and gravy?"

"I didn't want chips and gravy."

"But I like chips and gravy."
