Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Thanks Jack
Feel better soon mate!
Thanks Mitch, just like a mild cold, with a bit of extra added fatigue today mate :)
Old Toffee Wings with Dad's favorite pipe. He chewed through the bit and replaced it as best he could sometime before my memory starts.

Nice you have that Jer :) When smoking restrictions first started here, my dad would regularly get kicked out of places, for walking around with an unlit pipe in his mouth! :D
Real lambs.

When sharpening the blade at a more acute angle than it came with i noticed the primary bevels were wavy ground. I've had to flatten them before i get a sharp edge with a finish at 10 000 grit. Now it cuts.

Dan.
Great pics Dan :)
Thanks pal !

Beautiful landscape !

Nice to see Wee Staggy !
Thanks buddy :)
Now, there is a place I would enjoy roaming Jack.
Hope your week is a good one , starting with wee staggy in your pocket.
Yeah, I've done a lot of hiking there, in my slightly younger days Bob :) Looks like we might get some rain unfortunately

Taylor's Eye Witness lambsfoot with U-shaped steel frame and black plastic outer shell handle.
Strong yet very lightweight (just under 52 grams)
No bladeplay and good walk & talk.
Just finished hand regrinding the blade to a shallow convex shape @ ~22.5 degrees degrees inclusive, then applied a microbevel @ 30 degrees inclusive on the Sharpmaker white sticks.
Don't know the timeframe these were made.

Very interesting Lamb ! My guess would be 1980's
Nicely photographed  Interesting to see the covers, I always thought that the white was residue left over from some tape or something. Yeah, I think that's about when they started Steve

Here's mine, which was a gift from Duncan Campbellclanman Campbellclanman

In recent decades, TEW have outsourced much/all of their cutlery production.

Very smart Bob, good hunting :)
Very nice indeed :)
I’m enjoying the knives here this morning. Since it’s Monday I thought I’d grab this one for today and take a picture showing off the micarta.

That looks lovely :)
Love to see the wee lambs IRL

I’m right with you there!

All the weekend talk about hot sauce must have put something into the airwaves. I was coincidentally making sweet hot chipotle sauce. Here’s the final result with my Twisted micarta:

Sounds delicious Dave :) I had some of the smoked habenero with the falafel I just had. There are 4 open bottles of chilli sauce on my kitchen table, more in the fridge, and lots more in the cupboard :D

No wonder you've been losing weight, another healthy looking meal πŸ‘

Great choice Steve :)

Thanks Jack !

Yes Bob it's a well made Lamb πŸ‘. I think the covers are Cherry wood. I understand the historical part. That was a big reason why I wanted one of his Lambs alsoπŸ‘πŸ€

I hope the weather cooperates for a great time out Jack! The Dales rank among my most favorite places on earth.

  . Seems unusual for GEC, my 2019 jigged bone Charlie Lamb came with a 21 degree bevel, but straight as an arrow and perfectly ground and sharp out of the tube. Only had to take it to the stone once in all this time with stropping keeping it sharp.

Rehashed pic, all my knives were oiled and packed away when i was moving and i have not unpacked them.
