Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Afternoon all

Tose gloves look like they keep you warm 👍

I’ve been absent for some time. Just got caught up on the thread. Hope everyone’s been well.

Spent the week camping with my family. Weather wasn't too bad, around 80-90F and cool and overcast for the 4th. Great tent camping weather.

Hit a road blockage on the way home and had to take our minivan on a huge detour through a somewhat perilous mountain pass, hardly more than a single lane in some places with easily hundred foot dropoff to the side. Luckily, the van handled it well even being fully loaded down (with a bit of leveraging our momentum in a few places)! No scrapes or flat tires and didn’t get stuck at all in spite of the terrain.

Glad to be back in my own bed!

That's a great-looking knife Steve

Thanks Jack !

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm still feeling worn out, and was hoping for another day's lollygagging, but I have agreed to meet up with an old lady who lives nearby. She is an amputee, struggles to get out of her home, and doesn't see many people, so I have arranged to meet her at the local community centre for a coffee. I'm sure she'll know some other people there too. Unfortunately, the coffee is pretty awful, but I can hopefully get a cup at Charlie's in the afternoon, before I go into town. I don't know if anyone remembers my story about helping the old nun the other week? Well, I bumped into her on the bus again the other day, and managed to prevent her getting off at the wrong stop again! When we came to the right one, I offered to take her to the church again. She was confident about getting there herself, (it's just a few yards), but asked if I would help her off the bus. I stepped off first in order to take her hand, while she stepped down, and the bus driver promptly closed the doors and drove off! 😖 Fortunately, there was another bus waiting, and I got on, even though I was only going to the next stop :D Have a good day Guardians, I'm having another one with L'Ariete ;)

LOL! :D Yeah, it was a bit like that today, the old lady I took for lunch seems to think it's going to be a weekly occurrence  Her son had her keys for some reason, so when we went out, (just to the bottom of the road), she told me to leave both the front and back door slightly ajar. When we returned, I could hear someone in the house, so I told her to wait outside while I investigated. She might have told me she had a carer who came in a couple of hours a day to help out, and was busy washing the dishes when I entered the kitchen with menacing intent! 😖
Good morning Guardians !

Twisted 🐑 to start the week 👍

LOL! :D Definitely with more stealth than that! :D The care worker didn't seem too disturbed by me suddenly appearing in the kitchen fortunately, and I was discreet about what I had in my hand! 🤣 ;)👍

I promised the Scotsman who gave me this bottle that I would try it with the merest drop of water, so...
