I got this year's fig harvest from my Desert King fig tree. Only 7 figs, but I know at least one dropped because I waited a little too long and some got over ripe. Seven figs is not much for a fig tree, but it's still young. I'm following the practice in the Pacific Northwest of growing the Desert King variety because it ripens figs in a cooler climate. Have a nice weekend, everone.

I'm glad the package made it Tyson, and hope that you and Dawn have a wonderful Yorkshire Day :) I'm all in favour of a name change, but Wharncliffe is actually an area of Sheffield, as well as a local surname :) :thumbsup:

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend :) I haven't actually been out of the house, and I MAY not today :D It rained heavily here yesterday afternoon, but is brighter again today :) Unless something else comes along, I'm planning a day of lollygaggin', interspersed with some light housework :D Have a good one Guardians :thumbsup:

I had a day of victualling, antiquing, and bar-flying, and am enjoying the luxury of two days off in a row.

I got an Imperial Diamond Edge scout knife (q.v. in Newest Addition), a stainless tray that will be good for pocket stuff not getting lost, and a Dietzgen Constructo drawing set, made in Germany/American Zone. And a plumb bob about the size of my pinkie. $23 in all.

My pharmacist is a young, hard-working Syrian chap, who is always particularly kind and respectful towards me. He is currently waiting on the results of his exams, which I'm sure he will have excellent at. After that, he's going travelling in Europe for a couple of weeks, with his English friends, and then hopefully, setting up in business on his own. I thought I'd buy him a small gift to help him on his travels.
