Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

I hope everyone is having a good day, and that you have all your chip butty tackle laid in 😁

I'm just getting my camera stuff together, ready for an early start in the morning, but my back has been sore the past couple of days, after a long smooth period. The problem started when I agreed to take the old lady I mentioned a couple of weeks back, for lunch at the local community centre again. Frankly, she treated me like a servant, and had me fetching and carrying, and hanging her paintings, and fixing her electric wheelchair, and a number of other tasks she has other people for. So, I'm left with a sore back, and she can buy her own lunch in.future! 🧐 I'm just hoping it doesn't turn into sciatica 🙁

All being well though, I'll be getting the early train to Ilkley, and hopefully I'll get the chance to wish you all Good Morning, and Happy Yorkshire Day from the train 🙂👍

A few years ago, I was sat outside a nice Yorkshire pub, on a nice Yorkshire Day, drinking a nice pint of Yorkshire bitter. While I supped my pint, I was reading the Havamal. I thought it would be easy enough to do a Yorkshire dialect translation, and so it was, but because I'd supped my pint, I only translated the first 14 stanzas. Then I forgot about it! :D

They may, or may not, be intelligible ;)

I've been trying to find an Ilkley video to post. There are a lot of boring ones, and others that are just badly-filmed. This is the most recent, and by far the funniest :D This is what happens when people from South Yorkshire (Sheffield/Barnsley) go to Ilkley! 😂
