Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great weekend :) I had a great day yesterday, but a tiring one :) We have been blessed with a good summer, and the weather was fantastic yesterday. I called in at Charlie's for a coffee and avocado on toast, then went into town. I was supposed to be meeting Wolfie for a coffee, but his missus had broken a nail or something, so there was a family emergency  As it turned out, the place we had intended to meet was closed, so I ended up walking a fair distance to another coffee shop. I was some distance from the city centre, down by the river, and after having my coffee, I was walking down a small, obscure cobbled street, when I saw a familiar face coming towards me. It was Rashid, Hisham's brother, but he lives in Sicily! He was with his son, his wife, and some other friends, and it turned out they had come over for a wedding. None of them speaks much English, so I never got to the bottom of why they were walking down that obscure street, but I ended up giving them a full tour of the city. Four hours later, I was tired out, and due to meet a group of other friends for dinner. After checking it was OK with my friends, I invited the Sicilians. The only sticking point was that we were meeting in an Italian restaurant, but they didn't mind, and enjoyed meeting my friends. Despite the warm atmosphere, we separated early, and I headed home to the sofa! :D

I was thinking what to carry today. Didn't have to think long! :D ;) Have a great day Guardians, light housework and lollygaggin' for me! :D

Quite the day Jack. May I ask how L'Ariete holds it's edge?

Afternoon All,
The Barrett and a new bottle brush, spent the morning gardening, more rain coming.

We've been getting more than our share of heavy rain as well.

Great pic Steve

Thanks Jack

Stunning Kurt  At the market on Thursday, Harry Hotballs mentioned he was feeling a bit under the weather, and Tool Man responded, as he generally does, by telling him to make sure he left Tool Man's business card in a prominent place on the mantle-piece, for his missus to see! :D

🤣

Beauty Steve :)

Thanks buddy !

Quite the day Jack. May I ask how L'Ariete holds it's edge?
Wore me out, but I enjoyed it Bob :D Interesting question, my friend. If I recall correctly, I have only sharpened L'Ariete 2 or 3 times, the rest of the time I have relied on stropping. I just checked the edge, and re-stropped with some green compound. I don't use my pocket knives as hard as I used to, and L'Ariete has been used for day to day chores, such as cutting cardboard, opening letters, cutting off plastic tags, open plastic packaging, cutting up cake, and the odd piece of cheese. It has been regularly carried, and I haven't let the edge get dull, but I'd be happy to carry out a more scientific study

Great to see you here brother! :) Your AC is looking real good
Thank you. That pic you put up is a beaut! Sure is nice to be back. Did you take any cash from your son-in-law? I used to shake dice to win drinks for my Grandpa in the club house after he played 18. I was 6 at the time!
My Grandpa was so competitive, he'd have arm-wrestled me double or quits! :D
