Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Nice find Jer  My ex was originally from The Potteries. I've not been to that area much, but when I visited in the early 1980's, it was very interesting to hear about life there at the time, and to learn new words like shraff tip, where whole teams of folks went scavenging
Speaking of new words, I had to look up charabanc.
Which reminded me of a hayride when I was very young. It was probably something to do with cider or harvest. I remember being afraid of being bounced out of the wagon and under the wheels, but apparently I was clutching the deck boards the whole way, and muttering over and over, "Oh, this is bad. This is bad".
I hope you had more fun than that on your charabanc.

Lambsfoot of this new week is Lam Jack, my 2017 horn Guardians lambsfoot. These 2 photos were among many I took when it arrived in October 2017 (thanks, mrknife mrknife ):

Cool pic Jer :) That word is rarely heard these days, and usually it's only used in jest, but when I was young, it was still in common use here :) Interesting memory my friend :D One of my early memories is of being at the seaside with my parents. They had hired one of those contraptions with 2 linked bicycles, and I was sat on the wooden bench between them. I slipped off the bench, and fell onto the road, which was fortunately quiet. I can remember lying on my back, watching them cycle away, before they realised I wasn't there

Great pics :)

Looks like a dapper day Mitch :)

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend :) I was tossing and turning again, and feel worn out today 🥱 I have quite a bit to do though, including making a trip to the post office, with a large box, and a small parcel, calling in at the docs as my last prescription was wrong, and going into town to buy bread, and some groceries. No work today though, so far :) I hope your week gets off to a good start Guardians. I have L'Ariete in my pocket

You've got me beat. That's almost up there with, "Then Ma and Pa would slice us in two wi' a bread knife, and dance up and down on our graves singin' 'alleluia!"
I've resisted the urge to post a rusty old bread knife.

LOL! :D Even at 2 or 3, I don't remember being particularly disturbed at the idea that my parents were abandoning me. I might have been better waiting there for a better offer to come along! 😂 Thanks Jer, that's a good background for Rose Beast
That's pretty cool, nice pic
I had smashed avocado on sourdough toast in the cafe for my lunch. I'd probably have been better getting a chip butty in the market, but time was marching on, and I thought it might be something they couldn't mess up! Cool pic Bob :)

Could be amigo! :D ;)

It's been another bitterly cold day here today, and I wasn't able to accomplish all my missions unfortunately. I did get bread, and a bit of shopping though, so I won't starve to death when the snow, which has already fallen in various parts of Leeds, reaches Grumble Towers ;) I had coffee and cheesecake in town, and had a chat on the phone with Tool Man. The market was almost empty though, and it might well be like that on Thursday  Hope everyone is having a good day

Thanks Jack. A chip butty would be my first choice. My wife starts her day with avocado on toast.
