Looking out my side door


We only got about 6 inches of snow, which was at the lower end of what was predicted. The only vehicle I've seen go up the road today was the snowplow. The truck is pointed out and full of gas, so I could go if I had to, but I have no intention of going anywhere. Or shoveling snow

We've got highs in the mid-teens for the coming week. And snow, but not a heck of a lot of it. I'd like to say that Spring is right around the corner, but maybe it isn't.

Good afternoon from Dallas, Guardians! The Weather Readers got the forecast almost exactly right for once. We got a heavy dose of ice and sleet, followed by light snow which is ongoing. Temps were in mid teens last night.

I just went out to asses the snow and take a winter walk with the high temp of 24F and blowing like a goblin. Charlie’s lamb was with me and warm in my pocket, but not in this pose.
My fair lady got three of the five or so feral cats lassoed, herded and corralled in our guest bathroom last night. Sleep was elusive with all the wailing and hissing coming from downstairs. At least the dogs were as miserable as we were with all the racket. Now they are snoozing happy as bugs in a rug on our living room sofa. I will be placing knives on them from time to time as my revenge.

Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend - especially Birthday Boy Mitch I went out with Matt last night, and we caught a cab to a nearby suburb, where there are a number of bars, for a few pints. It was a nice quiet evening, and good to catch up, as we've both been busy recently. Grey skies outside, but no sign of any snow yet. I need to go into town to do a few things, and pick up some groceries, so I'll call in at Charlie's on the way Have a good day everyone, and I hope your week gets off to a flying start

Still cold here, and time to roof-rake and snow-blow again. Mid-teen highs and mid single digit lows till Sunday. I have my laundry tub dribbling to discourage the supply to the house from freezing.
