Good morning Guardians, I thought I was going to be working today, so it's quite a relief that I'm not! I only found out yesterday, so have nothing planned, but that works Sorry to hear about the postal woes guys When I was a kid here, mail came early, and there was a second delivery late morning/lunchtime. Now, it never comes before late morning, and usually early afternoon. The poor posties have got bigger and bigger rounds, and have to deliver a load of unwanted advertising flyers in addition to the mail, and they're out Sunday too. Then, as soon as they get to know the round, and some of the people on it, the Post Office move them to another round Talking of Post Office, that's somewhere I do need to go this morning. I have an Amazon return from before Christmas, and today is the last day to send it back. Hope you all have a great day Guardians, and a fantastic weekend

They got around to polishing my street with a snowplow yesterday. I may or may not get out the snowblower this morning. I got in all right yesterday, so I should be able to get out.

Nice shot Jer They rarely even get round to gritting here Jer I just hope they're prepared for the 14 inches of snow that are supposedly on the way!

The sun is out here today, and it's a little milder. After I called in at the post office, I decided to get a cheap second breakfast in the pub across the road, then bought a few groceries. I was going to go into town, but Matt is full of cold, Wolfie isn't answering his phone, and I have no real need to. So I think I might finish off my book

Maybe it's the Grimm and Penny Dreadful I've been watching, but I'm trying some sympathetic magic against the winter: putting away my EKA Swede security blanket knife in favor of year-round knives.

This will encourage Spring to hasten around the corner.

Cool and rainy here today and I have to work at the golf shop, should be pretty dead. This new front is bringing in the coldest temps in 16 years here in SW Florida:
at or below freezing the next two nights. I'm totin' Beni today for Stag Saturday.

I was excited to get a new pair of Redbacks, but the new posh ones run at least a half size bigger than the regular ones, and they're too big for me Unfortunately, I think the next size down will be too small Aw well, it'll be a pain to send them them back, and I wish they fitted, but in truth, I need a new pair of boots about as much as Imelda Marcos in her heyday!
