Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Just finished Saturday Morning breakfast, forgot to take a photo as i was too busy woofing it down. Went to the market early this morning and bought some bacon, mushrooms and goat Feta Greek cheese. Crispy bacon with Mushrooms cooked in butter and some olive oil with crumbled Feta stirred through to make a light creamy sauce. And it was good and will keep me going for the rest of the day. I could not eat another morsel . Have a good weekend all. 😋😋😋👍

Good morning Guardians. Undergoing some medical issues that I hope to resolve in 2 weeks. Geez, I hate getting older but it beats the alternative. I'm very lucky to have so many supportive friends. Today I'm happy to pocket my HHB. Unfortunately I won't be playing golf for the next month or so.

Sorry to hear that, Bill. Hope you’re doing better soon.

Those golf tees are great! 🤣

Happy Thursday, Guardians. Getting over jet lag and back in the work swing after a truly grand vacation. My spirits are raised this week by the publication of a client’s book that has been a work in progress for over a decade. I started chasing this brilliant young chef to write a cookbook in 2015. He had just returned to his native state of Texas and begun innovating in the traditional craft of smoking meats to make barbecue. Now he is getting international attention after earning a Michelin Star and being named #2 spot on the coveted Top 50 Best Barbecue Joints in Texas. Here he is in Southern Living magazine’s roundup feature called “The Next BBQ Legends.”

The cookbook was published on May 12. We’ll be doing book tour stops and parties across Texas this month, hitting more of the USA later this summer and fall. View attachment 3183678

Very cool, Dave! :thumbsup::thumbsup:

Looks great, Steve! Ready for a summer of grilling and relaxing outdoors. 😎

I’m lolly gagging doctors orders. Last night The wife insisted I go gp access, after hours gp clinic attached to the hospital. A few nights ago I kicked my bad foot in the middle of the night and over a couple of days became very swollen and sore to walk. Thought I might have broken my big toe had x rays just soft tissue damage. I’ve got to rest it. So maybe some movies today and I’ve started another jigsaw and the footy tonight, my Swans are currently leading the competition.

Sorry to hear that, Mitch. 🫤 Hope you’re getting around better soon.

Looking good, Mike!

Mammoth for my shift tonight.

Such a cool knife! 😎

Hope everyone’s weekend is off to a good start. No Lambsfoot for me today, as it was Scout’s birthday and I had her (non-Lambsfoot straight-edge) knife with me instead. (Usual birthday pics posted over in the totin’ thread.) I’ll have a lamb back in my pocket tomorrow.

Good afternoon Guardians! This just arrived from across the Pond and needless to say I’m very happy with Mr. May! I like it more than the Yorkshire Oak lamb he made me several months ago. Fit and finish is excellent, blade is centered with a nice stout pull and razor sharp out of the box. Oh and I love the Rams Horn handles too!

Good morning Guardians, wishing everyone a wonderful weekend  Work is going to interfere with my usual plans, but I dare say I'll sneak down to Charlie's for a coffee at some point ;) I still have L'Ariete in my pocket

Thanks Jack.
It was tasty, hadn’t been out for lunch for awhile.
Have a great day.

I have to go to the church before work to help drag the circus tent out of the tech room and load it for the little church that's borrowing it for the day.
Then, of course, go back to the church after work and drag the beastly thing back into the tech room.
It will probably be a hot mulch day in between.
