Good morning Guardians, I hope everyone had a great weekend I had a job nodding off last night, and feel tired this morning. I have some work coming in, so need to wake up a bit! Also hoping to meet up with Wolfie, and his youngest lad, Idris, late morning. Maybe get some lunch together Starting my week with the GL-24. I'm still surprised by how much the micarta has darkened, not something I've noticed really in the past - though that doesn't mean it hasn't happened! As I'm sure everyone knows, August 1st, this coming Saturday, is Yorkshire Day, which I'm told is one of biggest festivals in the entire world! Well, that's what Tool Man reckons anyway! To celebrate the annual jamboree of Yorkshireness, as per usual, I'd like to announce another Yorkshire Day Chip Butty Challenge, which is open to anyone who has ever posted in this thread prior to today. The rules are the same as ever, so here's a link to last year's announcement (please check out the posts from August 1st last year, and some great-looking chip butties). All you need is potatoes, (or some home fries or 'chippy chips'), some white bread, butter, and maybe some salt. Tater tots or waffle fries won't do I'm afraid, got to be something that at least approximates to a Yorkshire chip butty, and the more effort you put in, the more you'll enjoy it I think Don't forget to include your Lambsfoot in the photo or photos of your chip butty, and please remember I can't see Imgur pics. Extra inventiveness, effort, and/or Yorkshireness will get you an extra entry into my flat-cap, where I will draw the winner. The prize this year is a Third Edition copy of Geoffrey Tweedale's Directory of Sheffield Cutlery Manufacturers 1740-2024, which is an invaluable reference book for anyone interested in Sheffield cutlers and their Lambsfoot knives



Last year, I went to Ilkley for Yorkshire Day, this year I'm not quite sure where to go, maybe Ilkley again, maybe York, or maybe somewhere entirely different

Switched it up to my Waynorth flat cap lamb for a few days, or so. I tend to get stuck in a rut and carry the same knife for weeks to months at a time. Sitting on top of the cigar box that I keep my lamb foot knives in.
