I've just phoned Tool Man to wish him a Happy Yorkshire Day, and he was in good form - slightly drunk, and lying next to his missus, overlooking the sea at Whitby, having taken quite a bit of money at the Steam Fair, and getting ready to go and drink some more beer round the campfire with his mates

I wonder if we'll spot him in this video from last year

Good afternoon Guardians, I hope everyone is having a great day. I'm touched by everyone taking part in Yorkshire Day Me and Eve had a grand time in Ilkley, including a chip butty down near the River Wharfe, within sight of the old packhorse bridge, and a pint in Bar Tat! I'm worn out now!

Great video, Jack! I can't believe they let people stand around drinking beer so close to those moving belts.
A steam show here doesn't include carnival rides. Just a few steam tractors, threshing demonstrations, and tractor pulls.


Glad the weather cooperated and you had a good Yorkshire day.

Hope you had a relaxing time up at the cabin, Dan. How’s the vegetation regrowth coming along?

Not too much relaxing going on up there. The ice did a lot of damage to one of my docks, so that needed to be rebuilt. The aspens and fireweed are coming up so thick in the lower areas that going off my site is like walking through a 3' tall jungle. The rock is going to be bare for quite a while.
I am planning a trip to Wisconsin later in August and hoping to be able to meet up for lunch again. I will PM you.
