Guardians of The Lambsfoot!

Great to see more Ironwood models rolling in!!! Amazing how they each have such individual character and personalities.
I am a bit envious of the beautiful example which had shown up for btb01.
I can only assume that the dog sled driven postal service must have pulled over for the evening before proceeding onward to me.
Maybe tomorrow... :)

Mine landed today. It is the one below Frailer's in the group picture. It is an absolutely lovely knife...but. The nail nick on it is so shallow that I struggle to open it. If you look at the group photo, you can see that the nail nick there even appears smaller than that in the others. With the satin blade and swedge, it cannot be pinched open. Add in weak nails and the beginnings of arthritis on my end, and well...

So, anyone know anybody that has the tools and know-how to put an easy-open notch on it? I would be much obliged.

Hi Wayne,

I've not had an email from you. Here's your knife:

I'd advise oiling the joint and flushing it with compressed air to make it easier to open, but if you're struggling with it, and haven't used it yet, please return it to me (my address is on the back of the envelope)

I've gotten out of bed to stop you doing anything hasty. Have to catch up with everyone else tomorrow I'm afraid

Jack

What a beauty - shimmy's and shines like my sister, Kate!
OG

Looks like it was well worth the wait!! She's a beauty for sure!! Great photo!
Congratulations!

@btb01 JohnDF JohnDF pjsjr pjsjr - Congrats guys on the eagle landing! They are lovely little lambs. :)

Congratulations Dennis, Barrett and John, beautiful knives all!

Thanks for all the kind words regarding my Lambfoot, I'm very pleased with my example.

Good afternoon, folks.

I usually peel myself away from screens over the weekends so I had quite a time getting caught up here amidst my work today. However, I did want to report in and state that I am amongst the lucky Monday recipients and have retrieved my knives from the mailbox a short while ago.

The weather right now is rather terrible but I am hoping for a break in the rain before the light fades so I can take some pictures. Otherwise, I will have to wait until the morrow.

What I can says is, these knives are rather remarkable, the chatoyance in the Ironwood is amazing and due to what appears to be my penchant for drawing knives with wildly different pile and mark sides, I will have quite a bit to show off very soon.

Congratulations to those of you who have received your knives, they all look incredible. A very fine job by Jack and the lad at Wrights.

My wait is over also!

Mighty fine looking crop of Ironwood Lambsfoot knives that landed today. I'm so pleased with mine!

Thank you, Jack, for all that you are doing and have done to bring such handsome knives to us. I'm indebted to you, also, please thank Ashley for producing such a fine knife.

Mine is on the bottom row, left most knife that's canted horizontal, below member donn's.

Here are a couple of quick pictures. Preston
