Morning folks, hope everyone had a great weekend. It's currently a bright, sunny day here, I'm rather busy though, and I have also agreed to pick my mate's three kids up from skool later, and look after them for a couple of hours. Hope everyone has a good week![]()

It’s carved from a burl of Spanish Briar. A Spanish friend brought the burl from Spain to the pipe maker.Nice pic. What kind of wood is the pipe made out of? Doesn't look like briar.
Well that's pretty darn cool. May have to take up a pipe again (usually a cigar man). It’s carved from a burl of Spanish Briar
Thank you. I’m a cigar man like you, but an occasional bowl is quite pleasant. Back in the day, for a time, I managed a cigar and pipe store, and picked up the habit. My all time favorite tobacco, which I can’t get my hands on any longer is Cuban. It was considered pipe tobacco and came in bricks. What is was, was all the cuttings and leavings from the cigar roller’s bench, compressed into a brick. Most smokers could not handle it, but I was in hog heaven.Well that's pretty darn cool. Hope all you Guardians had a great weekend and are prepared for another week. Our weather here is finally going to get above 32* F this week so maybe we can start melting snow. We haven't seen the ground in months and I'm missing the green grass more than ever before.
Jack, have a splendid time with your mates kids.
