Do you live in a postcard, Dave?

My apologies, I have been meaning to take some more photos to share with everyone. We have had an awful run of rainy weather here. That coupled with travel for business has made it a challenge. I hope to get some to share this weekend.

Thanks to all for sharing their stories and pictures.

I've taken the unprecedented step of modifying my rotation schedule WITHOUT waiting until I made it through the entire schedule. The modification is that I added my 2019 Guardians lambsfoot into the lambsfoot category as my "Valley Jack" which will follow my Union Jack in the rest of the current schedule.

I've probably missed something but why "Valley Jack"? :)

Thank you, GT!

Oh yeah. "Winter" should be put in quotation marks around here.

How Often Austin Has Cold Temperatures
About half of winter nights in Austin dip to 40 °F or less. On average, 12 nights from December to March have freezing temperatures, with one night dropping as low as 20 degrees.
Austin normally sees just one day each winter when the temperature doesn't rise above freezing.

Crikey! Sounds like a British summer....

Oh man, you step away from this thread for a couple weeks and you wind up hundreds of pages behind.

Only hundreds....??

My internet connection is barely functioning this morning (been bad these past 3 days), but I just did a quick search, and Ovaltine tablets are still available - in Thailand! Also in Australia, where they are sold as Ovalteenies. Apparently, the tablets have the same ingredients as the drink

Oh yeah...maybe Chin could start an Ovalteenies Import/Export business... :)

A beauty!

Thank you John.

What a lovely shot. I've been in quite a monochrome world today so they've just really stood out

Wow, what a great thread, kudos to you Jack Black and all who contribute here. All the lamb foot knives and excellent photos of them, it is such a pleasure to come visit and see different pictures. There are many creative and gifted people here, the photos showing the same knife look entirely in the different settings.

They have predicted 8-12 inches of snow here, most of the schools in the metro area announced that they would be closed today. It started raining last night and continues this morning. It is snowing and blowing right now...real nasty.

I've called a record day and have started with a tribute to you Jack and all UK-ers...Have a great day Guardians

Thanks Preston, great shot. Good luck with the weather

I carry ear-plugs in my bag, so I don't have to listen to some of the idiots I encounter on public transport

Yeah I do to as well. I'd really like to carry a .357 but apparently it's frowned upon nowadays

For folks that thought the Robin Reliant wasn't cool enough, they came up with this one! :D

(Actually the guy pictured lost his fortune on it )
Do you know that chap's son (or nephew?) is planning to build a more modern rendition of that thing?:rolleyes:

Today.

I'll being doing a proper post explaining the above pictures tomorrow morning in Carl's Lounge as our U.S cousins may find it of interest.

Thanks buddy, not mine, I would have been just a wee boy when that pic was taken. Dave was an interesting guy :)

I bet! :D Rotten! :( I might have some grapes myself in a while, but first I'm going to celebrate 800 pages of Lamby goodness with some hops, in the form of this big (8.5) beast from Yorkshire's Magic Rock brewery :) Cheers Guardians

Prosit!

Sorry to hear that.
What's the weather like? It was 91 degrees in Kingsville today, and it is 75 right now in Corpus Christi at sundown.
The weather is starting to warm up it was 50F today going to 60F on the weekend. We don't want it to warm up to fast otherwise we would have major flooding from the snowpack.
