Guardless Warthog Pre-Order Work in Progress

Thanks Chris for the update. Getting closer!!! They are looking superb!! When batch #1 is all said and done, would love to hear what went well, what might change for batch #2, etc. We all think this is very cool what your doing and many, like myself, will be ready score again!! Thank You!!
I've been thinking the same thing. Once it's all done, I'd like to hear how Chris's experiment went from his perspective -- aside from the challenges of acclimating to a new shop.

Also, I love seeing everyone's ideas materialize. As I expected, I already like some of the color combinations others ordered more than my own. Nevertheless, I'm perfectly happy with my choices and am looking forward to getting the knife in hand. Thanks again, Chris, for doing this and showing us the process along the way!

OD over natural with white?
What’s not to like?!
I was also torn between a more “flamboyant” color/material combo and more subdued/natural tones. Chris’s designs carry both extremely well IMO.
You can’t go wrong either way :)

ETA: I opted for OD over natural myself and ultimately let Chris decide whether to go with black or blue accent liners. (In front of the group, I should probably own up to being a bit of a PITA with my indecisiveness - still new to this knife thing - and extend a huge Thank You! to Chris for his patience). From the pics it looks as if he went with black.
If there was one certainty to begin with, it’s that it will be a beautiful knife and easily become one of my favorites, very likely even THE favorite. It’s my first OKT and I can hardly contain my excitement :)

Oyster Oyster blasted OD over thick natural liners and natural pins - not other liners really needed. One of my favorite handle combinations.
Agreed, that sounds great. As a newcomer to knives, I’m still in the process of developing my aesthetic and which combinations are the most appealing. I see many more in my future to try things out :)
Btw, I’ve seen some of your collection on IG. Very, very nice!

I’m assuming I’m not the only one who, maybe during a brief lull at work or when time might permit, has come back to this thread to again admire the WIP pictures since they were posted. I am so looking forward to this knife and can’t emphasize often enough how great it has been to follow its creation.
Have a great evening everyone.

Apologies everyone! I checked out about a week before Christmas and went on a mental vacation and stopped answering emails texts, and phone calls, I guess I needed a break.
On a good note I got some time to think about some stuff, recenter and refocus myself after the 6 month long transitional period into the new shop.
The break was just what the doctor ordered, I came to work and only focused on working on the pre order batch, getting back into the production groove. I think I found it!

THAT is a bunch of kickassery!! Really cool to see all the combos folks came up with and very exciting to see them in these stages. Thanks for doing this pre-order deal and the opportunity!!

Thanks Jerry! You and everyone else are very welcome!

Looking good! Progress pictures are always cool AF.

Thanks Bud!

I want to see how that purple G10 and toxic green turns out.

Looks pretty cool so far.

I will post my thoughts after I get the knives out to their new homes on my perspective of how the betch and whole platform and process went from my end.

I was more than happy to work with you and help you in deciding what to go with on your first OKT purchase! I hope pleases you and exceeds your expectations.

This will be the last work in progress preview before I take pictures of the knives in their completed state. I have them completed with the exception of the makers mark, guard clean-up and sharpening.

In this next set of photos the handles have been sanded and are ready to be bead blasted.

Ahhh, how am I excited for this batch and I don't even have a knife in the tray...

Major is looking pretty robust, he is growing up (or out:)) fast! I almost came home with a baby Pit Bull after Christmas. I just saw pics of him the other day... He looks like he has doubled in size since we left.
