Wanna build a standard mind steel one with it??? :D

Edit to add: i just saw your shop video..,dude......you suck ..lol. thats one killer work shop to be in.

Since it is stainless you should make it water cooled :) I don't know why you would need it, but it sounds bad ass.

yeah since he is the dude with all the machine shop capability make a platen water cooled.

now there you guys go agian putting ideas into my head about making useless or is that usefull stuff. i now have the water cooled platen idea in my head

the frame is mostly 303-304 but the receiver plates are 416. it should be nice when done. we use swamp coolers here in the shop to cool things and if bare metal is not protected then thy get rusty. i know when i kept my NWG in my house the swamp cooler gave it a nice rust coat. but o baby with stainless no worry's. plus some day if i move back to Hawaii i wont have as much of a problem with it as i would with mild steel. but yes all stainless steel bolts. i will leave the wheels Aluminum as i don't want them to have to much weight. do thy make a grade 8 type stainless bolt

"You took the box, lets see what's in the box?!
...
Nothing! Absolutely nothing! Stupid! You're so STUPID!!"

UHF :D

Pardon my ignorance but what is a swamp cooler? Our swamps up here are cool enough most of the year!

You could always drill out the platen and run hose through it for coolant- use hollow bearings and cool off the insides of the contact wheels as well. Send it in for some TiNi coating and get it all gold or something- maybe get the entire thing engraved in scroll and a knifemaker scene with your portrait in it while you are at it- the sky is the limit!!!!

I know what you mean about things rusting out here. All of the workshop setups I have had here in Hawaii have been prone to everything rusting. That SS KMG will be kickass!

Swamp Coolers are basically big fans that blow air through a moist medium (could be cloth, fiber mat, or just a mist of water) to pick up water vapor. This wet air will cool the area. They are used in dry climate areas when people are too cheap (frugal) to buy A/C.

thy work great and are cheep to run compared to a AC unit.

The swamp coolers work well in dry desert conditions. I was out to see the youngest son in Yucca Valley, CA. A good portion of the people run swamp coolers out there. A lot of them are mounted on the roof. In the humid south, they aren't much help. A little wind a blowin and more humidity. I remember them well as a kid.
