I've found it to be surprisingly not related in many cases. A CEO's company may seem to be on one political track, while the CEO is right the opposite. I've also seen that with State governments. Having known a couple of governors and a whole lot of other politicians in my day, you start seeing the whole system become an entity within itself and not even close to reflecting the views and beliefs of someone that appears to be in charge or responsible.
