Gun Picture Thread

I had a sweet 19-3 P&R 2.5" with box for a bit, sold it before I realized how much it was really worth! It's in some of the pics. I bought some of the lock cylinder delete kits and installed them on some of my S&W's and they work fine. I have one of the 360's currently with the Crimson Trace Green laser grips and those grips make a HUGE different in how it shoots. Golden Saber or Speer Gold Dot 357 mag loads (slightly downloaded from full magnums) are easy to handle 1 handed.

I also have some Dan Wesson Revolvers. I had 2 of the 357, a 22 and a stainless and blue 44, now I have a blued 357 with multiple barrels and a stainless 44 with 2.5, 4, 6 and multiple 8" barrels with extra shrouds. My S&W 617 10 shot has a worked trigger spring so it's nice and smooth even in DA! Gotta find the pictures!

Walther PPS M2 9mm is a nice, slim carry piece; I added Fiber Optic/Night sights to it. If I want something larger, I go with the VBOB in 45 or CZ P10C in 9mm. I wanted a M&P Compact 45 acp to carry instead of the VBOB, but haven't gotten around to it yet. Got married, bought a house, etc. Adulting gets in the way of buying toys!
I carry a Glock most of the time, but bust out the heavy CZs and 1911 for date night with my wife on the weekends. I need a revolver to start carrying on my date nights.

My 2 6.5 Grendel bolt guns, cz 527 MTR and Howa 1500 in a Bell &Carlson stock

Have 2 Winchester 52's, a cz 452 trainer, cz 527 in 223, ruger pc9 carbine and some other stuff in long guns as well

Better pic of the PPS M2's!

My parents always try to buy my guns off of me so we often end up with triplicates. We each have DW 357 and 44, S&W 19 with 6" barrels, multiple DW 1911's, the walther PPS, Ruger PC Carbines, etc.

The bruin is awesome, my mom still bugs me about it!
Stout hand loads at around 30' IIrc:

Smiley face with the tongue sticking out. It's a tack driver!

I had a Walter PPS M2 and enjoyed shooting and carrying. Slim and nice as you say. A buddy made me an offer I could not refuse so I sold it to him. Now I still get to shoot it from time to time. I have an Sig P238 w Hogue grips that I like carrying and shooting even more.IMG_3983.jpeg

938's are nice, but that safety and my thumb don't work well together! lol. I had a CZ P07 and CZ 75 BD and Regular and the safety/decockers on most feel strange to use and I ended up selling them. Striker fired or SAO 1911 style work better for my hands.

Being an avid shooter and gun owner, I don’t think my arsenal would be complete without a good revolver in my line up.

Definitely. What revolvers lack in capacity, they make up for with versatility. From light wadcutters, to snake shot, to hollow points, to heavy duty hardcast, there's no other handgun that can handle that wide of a spectrum with no issues. 👍

Jonny, I’ve owned both S & W & Ruger and if you want a date night carry, look at a S & W 640 that’s a J frame 5 shot in .38 Special though you can get 6 & more shot ones if you step down in caliber.
.32 mag would change or end someone’s mind if need be!

Ruger are fantastically overbuilt! You can fire the hottest loads all day & they don’t even burp. I view them more as home protection, range guns or deadly animal back up.
They just weigh a bit. Not my pick for around town concealed carry!

Thanks Laurence! I’ll looking for one that feels best in hand and one with the better feeling trigger. Weight won’t be an issue, as I won’t be carrying it all day.

Just one thing to add to that - my 3" 7-shot GP100 actually weighs an ounce less than my 3" 686+ - so if one is debating between the two, weight shouldn't be the deciding factor. 👍

Just keep in mind when you're assessing how it feels in the hand, that changing grips on a revolver to get the 'feel' you want is super easy. And esp. for the S&W L-frames and Rugers, there are a ton of different grip options out there.

I like wood, but not against rubber if it feels right. Maybe even g10. Thanks for the feedback.

I’ve been out of working in gun stores for long enough that Ruger hadn’t yet made a 7 shot revolver. I stand corrected.

Haha....seriously though, it's one of the nice advantages of a revolver over most semi-autos - if you don't like the way it fits, it's easy to change.

Yeah, both of those I pictured above are 7-shots. Never had an issue with either of them. 👍

Yeah but you don’t want something on your belt that is going to cramp your style when you’re out doing the Do See Do with Jeanie at the barn dance!

Now bow to your partner! Now now to your left, ,,,,,,,,,,,, ,,,,,,,,,,
