Gun Picture Thread

The KC9-lightweight has arrived and it’s every bit as nice as I was hoping. Slide to frame is perfectly fit and tight, the scale like checkering combined with the texture of the grips really locks it in the hand and I like the orange front dot with the newer U-shaped notch in the rear. The thinness of these EVO models compared to a standard 1911 doesn’t look like much in the specs but man it makes a big difference with those top cuts rounding the top of the slide and this model also comes with thin grips so that factors in too.

Best I can describe the “feel” difference using standard guns is like going from the Glock 19 thickness to the Glock 48 (they had both of those at the shop I used for the transfer and I’m thinking of picking up a 19).

After racking the slide some and doing dry firing cycles while watching it pour outside, I quickly realized how tight this gun is compared to my Special Forces, which has been shot a bunch, so I can’t wait to run a few boxes of ammo through this one and start getting it broken in. First scratches are on the barrel from racking the slide, it’s considered used and mine now lol 🍻

Sweet! I could easily bankrupt myself buying Ed Browns. 😂

Never been a Glock guy. They just don’t fit my hand right. Tried and owned several and sold all. This 43x is thinner grip?? May have to try again.

Anyway…… range day today.

When the S&W mags were new, were they difficult to get the first round in? The mags on my new M&P 2.0 are a PITA to get the first round in.
Thanks

That's a "Tac-14". It kicks like a mule.

Here it is with my old, front seat/"Detective car" 870...

My buddy has a Shockwave and it does kick like a mule! Looks good with the wood furniture!

A guy at a gun shop was once trying to tell me and my wife we should get a Shockwave for home defense because 1. It's a shotgun that's easier to handle and 2. It kicks less than a full size shotgun because of the way you hold it.

I asked him if he'd ever shot it or a shorty shotgun? He replied "no" and I replied then you shouldn't lie to people. I've shot several sawed offs and none of them were pleasant.
