I'm really excited to get my SP-01 in hand. It's a beast of a handgun and can also be used as a club if you run out of ammo lol

That's definitely one of the selling points for me going with a GP100 over something like a S&W 686 or a Colt of some flavor.

Old pre-lock 686s are sweet, but I refuse to buy one of the new ones with that silly internal lock.

I want a Python pretty bad, tho.

The Ruger has a better trigger IMO.

Ruger triggers are also very easy to work on. I took apart my police surplus one and smoothed everything out. It's beautiful. Just need to watch out for the springs going everywhere. I take it apart inside a super large ziploc bag now.

Yup. I'm also running a Wolff #11 hammer spring in mine, which makes the DA pull a lot nicer.

That’s a good looking hammer. I’ve got a Tactical version in my future. I only compete against myself, but I love teeny, tiny groups. Should be a great shooter by all accounts.

The CZ is 19+1 capacity and the G17 is 17+1. The CZ is heavy at 3 lbs fully loaded. The G17 will be much more pleasant to carry all day due to its light weight. The CZ is more accurate. And due to the extra weight, recoil is very minimal and easy to get follow up shots.
