How do you like the Ram Jet? Price worth the recoil reduction? I’m mixed with the tube reviews. Those that show slow motion, looks like it works but for the money not sure it works as well as I’d like.

I like the reduction in recoil, but it's not as noticeable with std pressure rounds - it's more effective in reducing recoil with higher pressure/power loads. I've compared it in side-by-side shooting to my son's Sig P365 with a slide compensator, and the Ramjet ia slightly better with +P ammo, for less money than the compensated slide if you're upgrading a 3.1" barrel model ($389 vs $449).

However, for ease of takedown, the Sig P365 with slide compensator might be my choice, as you don't need a T10 Torx to take it down completely. My son got his P365 Rose Comp (really copper colored matches True Precision copper parts) for $1030 at our local gun club - with compensated slide, manual safety, XL grip, optic, electronic locking Sig branded Vaultek 1.0 case, 2x 12 round mags, a mag loader, and 5 dummy practice rounds. That's only $70 more than what I paid for a P365 + Ramjet + Wilson XL grip, and NO optic and NO Vaultek safe! (like was only 10% off)

DocJekl DocJekl Nice looking guns. I need to shoot a nicer one like those. I tried the 365 when it came out and just hated it. Of course I’m a died in the wool Glocker.

When I first got my P365 Jan 2019, I liked my G19 better too. But I like to pocket carry most of the time, and the P365 was much better option for me than the Kahr PM9 that I used to carry (6 or 7 +1 rounds). The grip was too short AND thin with the Kahr, while the P365 was an improvement.

However, I like the XL and X-Macro grips a bit more than the Sig P365 shorty 10 round grips. And I like the Sig grip angle a little more than that of my G19 or G23. With the Sig XL or X-Macro grip I can control my shots better, and do faster mag reloads, with less shift in my grip on the longer grips when shooting to reloading. I tend to do rapid fire better with the Sig grip angle than the Glock grip angle. Same with my ZEV OZ9c pistol vs Glock.

The Wilson Combat grip is the best for a short P365 grip though, as it is longer from front-strap to back-strap ,and fits my hand better than OEM grips. If you need it to be as small as possible, Wilson is the choice; but it's not on par with the control of an XL grip. I have no trouble pocketing a P365 XL sized grip/slide in my right front pants pocket in a Remora holster, unless I add an optic and it reduces what I can wear if I want to put it in my pants. I do keep some 12 rounders with the grip spacer to fit a P365 short grip without gaps, if I need a full 4-finger grip on them and don't want to put a bigger grip on it.

I mostly keep 1-2 of my P365 as a "shorty model" because of all the 10 round mags I've accumulated over the years (12 of them); and with the Wilson Short Grip + MagGuts 3mm longer 12 round spring/base plate makes it not so bad to shoot. I have one extra safety-cut grip to convert one more of my P365 to an XL grip if I wanted - I have a small Sig foxtrot light mounted on it already.

The final piece of the 19 arrived today, TLR7 HLX.

Nice looking 19. I have the Ramjet for my G19 and it's what convinced to buy a couple for my P365s - I need to take some pics...

The cleaver rocks.
Nice 10mm selection. Are you interchanging slides on the 20 and 40? If so, which do you prefer?
Yes the 20, 40, and 41 / 41 MOS frames are identical. I prefer the 6” G40 MOS for the caliber, capacity, velocity, and optics. I’m sure there are places the G20 with irons would be better. The 29 also shares a frame with the 30S… Glocks have always been really modular among other things. A G40 MOS like that will fire Underwood 155 grain XTP’s all day and give up nothing to full house .357 Mag… except the Glock holds 18.

I knew 20/21 were interchangeable as well as 29/30 but was not aware 40/41 worker with 20.
I have a 20 but have not found a 40 in a case at the LGS.
Thanks for the information

I'm also curious what you guys use at the range. Do you use a bag, case or other? Post some pics.

I have a bag but I'm considering an alternate option.

I know everybody has their own opinions, but in mine, those are two of the finest combat pistols in production! I had the privilege of carrying a Glock everyday for 28+ years while working, and still take a 43x with me every day.

And in all fairness, there are lots of great combat pistols companies out there.

I’m a simple kinda guy, so I’m heavily vested in Glocks. They just work. Out of the 7 that I own, I have never had a FTF or FTE out of any of them! You can’t beat em for a self defense tool. I have nicer, more accurate and fancy pistols too, but 9 times out of 10, I’m probably carrying a Glock of some flavor.

I ended up moving my “SPR” type set up and had this rifle set up almost identical to my main rifle as a back up but the idea hit me that I really needed to make a dedicated home defense gun.

I usually run an optic on an AR and my wife doesn’t shoot enough to get used to a scope even if it has a 1x. When I did have a 22 set up with a red dot she dominated the range. Ended up with this Holosun at a good deal and I’m kitting it out for home defense. Gotta grab a sling and zero it and it should be good to go.

Suppressor shopping this weekend.

Then get my wife used to the set up.

Just make sure they are the same gen... those are gen4. Feel free to pick up a complete bare slide shipped to your door or a stripped one and build it. Works great. Gunbroker is a great place to find them. Even EBAY.

Depends how many I am shooting... I have 2-pistols cases and long gun cases that hold two rifles and six pistols and rolling backpacks that hold four pistols and all the gear+ammo, or "gym bags" that hold break down or short rifles and pistols, etc... you have to pick what works for you and your range. I used to always just fill the trunk with a dozen cases and a separate bag and cans for ammo, but you can't always back the car or truck up to the firing line. Depends on you and where you shoot.
