Here's a pic of a friend shooting my AR-10

My first handgun, a Smith and Wesson 657 Classic Hunter II

And my Grand Dad's carry revolver, made in 74, purchased brand new in 1975, and now it's passed down to me.

Well, that's the good stuff.

Yeah. Unfortunately knives and guns are expensive hobbies, though I think I'll succeed in getting the two to coexist to some extent. And Kalifornia gun control doesn't make it any easier.

I hear ya, I used to live in new york many many years ago. One day I said "wow this sucks why do I live here"? So I moved to Vermont where you don't even need a permit to carry concealed. It's a beautiful thing.

In New York you can't even own a pistol in your own home without a permit it's absolutely ridiculous.

Yeha. The thing that annoys me more though is the Use Tax in our state, asides from the restrictions on mag capacity. We're taxed on stuff ordered from retail sales out of state. If I order a gun from gunbroker that is listed by a dealer, that means 7-9% tax on top of FFL+Shipping+DROS fees. A good deal can easily lose the savings that would happen in the free states. But when my 30 day is up (in the market for a 9mm, or a stainless 1911), I'll see what my local dealer can do about special orders - I might just buy from them to support em.

I'm hoping I can find a P30 V1 somewhere, but all the vendors that had one haven't been able to provide an expected shipment date.

After doing a complete hack job on the original grey aluminum grips, here's my p238 with new VZ 320s:
