I hear ya but I don't care much for backpacking the weight of an axe and I have a use for batoning wood in the backcountry. No offence meant to each there own.

no offense taken. i find a hawk is the right balance between weight and hacking abilities

MAN, I LIKE that little SBS M4. I would give my right nut for one if I had it still. Sad to hear its gone too. I have been debating a SBS for a while, still waiting on my stamp for my 7.5" AR pistol upper, have a spikes lower standing by.

Nice guns spoolup, but there is a nice platform called the AR, you might want to look into it!

I think you have more firepower there than many SWAT teams!

PoHD, what do you think of that snake charmer? Had a chance to shoot it yet? Ive been looking at them but have not bit just yet, I want the 4" 45/410 barrel and a dual 22lr barrel.

Hey Spool,

I just bought it this past Tuesday. I have a 8 day air here in MD and get to pick it up this Wednesday. I am gonna take it to the range before the end of the week and will PM you shooting impressions. As far as initial impressions, the fit and finish are FIRST CLASS. I have been looking at them for a while, but when I handled it, I bought it instantly. They really are a perfect example of a beautiful hand crafted weapon. Totally first rate IMO.

The one I got is the original SS 3.5" barrel in .45/.410 I wanted the 4.25" barrel also, but they are hard to get around here. My plan is to stick with the 3.5" for .45/410 and pick up another 4.25" .357/.38 spec barrel from Bond directly when they re-open Tuesday. They have a special where if you buy one of their guns, you get a coupon for half off a second barrel. Since they just came out with the 4.25" .357 (should cost around $80), it was a match made in heaven!! Heck, I may even pick up one of their nice leather holsters with the saved $$.
