At the request of Gurkha Berserka for a catch all thread for gun talk. Here it is. I think it is a great idea! This way we wont jack up others threads when we drift off into space like we do so well
Ill start off by a shot of my fairly newly inherited scattergun. It was actually passed down to my brother and since he is a city boy exec. now traveling all the time he passed it on to his country boy brother. I have no problem with that. Its a 1956 Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight 12 gauge. Featherlight it is.
See im already drifting. I think we were talking about Glocks in the other thread! I hunted many of squirrel and deer with my brother but this was his gun. I had a double barrel 12 gauge (Savage Arms?) I used which I liked a lot. Nothing like pulling both triggers at the same time snapping it open and snagging both spent shells out with your fingernails at the same time and reloading and snapping it shut again ready to go. I got pretty dang fast trying to keep up with my brothers Ithaca pump. I wonder if he put the plug back in?
From what i understand they machined the entire receiver from a sloid block of steel and always engraved this hunting scene on both sides.
My gun, my knife, and my axe! Oh...I forgot my 03A3 30-06 (Work in progress) Thanks to JW for the new stock:thumbup: and a Glock 30. Thats about it. Thats all im made of. Theres still a Benjamin pump pellet rifle, 4-10 shotgun, and .22 LR at large in the family somewhere i cant locate. My brothers and sisters wont cooperate in finding them but ill eventually get to the bottom of it.
