guns and knives, photos add yours

Cool pics Dave!

The up and left recoil in the pic of your daughter is usually indicative of not having enough grip control on the left side of the gun. Shoot your 1911 some time one handed right handed and watch the gun recoil up and left. Switch hands and watch it recoil up and right. It’s from a weak link in the grip where the grip is exposed. Basically the gun is trying to find the weak link in your grip. Physics and all that mumbo jumbo.

Bet you a buffalo nickel if she squared up to the target more and got a good “thumbs forward” grip on the gun it would cut muzzle flip by half. In my last CCW class I had guys who had been shooting for 40 years and 5 minutes of work on their grip and stance instantly improved their accuracy, recoil management and ability to make follow-up shots. Of course she’s pretty petite so a 1911 is a lot of iron too. :D

yep adam i've worked with her on that, the main problem is her hands are just too small for the frame. with her revolvers she dosnt have the same problem, of course their fitted to her hands.

take it easy

the magpul dynamics' handgun/carbine dvds are money well spent. not to mention the red head in the handgun dvd...oh, sweetness :p

Shot my new S&W M&P R8 today. Its a nice blaster :)

The bag is a Maxpedition Lunada Gearslinger. It holds the big N frame 5" barreled revolver quite snugly along with ammo, muffs, and some other goodies.

Here's a few pics of it with my new HEST as well.

JV3, Costa is dreamy...serious bro-mance. Haha.

Sweet wheel gun Verm. Smith will get my revolver business again once they stop forcing the internal lock down my throat.

It doesn't bother me. I take the gun apart anyway to clean it. I just remove the assembly and put it back together.

How do you like that pack?
I torn between the Maxpedition Lunada Gearslinger and the next step up Malaga Gearslinger. I want something small to but not to small and I'm thinking the Malaga might be the big.

omg vermillion. That is the sexiest revolver I've ever seen. I'd love to have one but they are up there...

I was torn between both as well and went with the Lunada. Its works pretty well for me. Not too big and not too small either. I also like that you can carry it a few different ways. I wish though that I could have messed with both in person but, oh well.

Yes, I know we can own some real guns here, too - but thought I'd play with the myth.

*Edit: I just realized that it's not immediately apparent that these are all PELLET guns. IZH-61, PX4 Storm, and CP99.*

Love the Bearcat! For the longest time, that was the only gun my son wanted to shoot. I can't even imagine how many bricks he put thru it. Really fun gun.
