guns and knives, photos add yours

I'm probably ordering a Magpul MBUS rear sight this week so my DD rear sight might go up for sale.. havent decided yet.

do it! having a clear view of the reticle is really nice.

I'm going to put a free float Troy 13" rail on with a lowpro gasblock. The rail will cover the gasblock and give me a much longer sight radius with my irons.

When I'm done, it'll look alot like this:

it'll look exactly like this :D 13.8" troy free float goes right up to the base of the muzzle device with no part of the barrel exposed.

for anyone hunting for a DD BUIS you can find new or like new ones for sale well below the usual retail price. they come with the DD uppers and rifles and some people want flipups. i've scored some for about $40,and LaRue BUIS for $55 or so.. i've got a couple of each. (but mine ain't for sale... i'm still looking for a few more)

That looks like some kinda sci-fi blaster! I love it.:D

I've got a Rock River A4 middie, with the RR rails. I got the low-pro gas block with the fixed, removable front sight. With the middie, I've got more than enough rail for my needs, but it is just a 9" forearm section (plus the flat-top).

I sometimes wish I had gotten the standard front-sight/gas-block, because they are staked on vs. the bolted low-pro on mine. But, I guess if I ever have a problem, I'll fix it then. It is unlikely I'll ever be staking my life on it.

BTW, I have that DD A1.5 sight on mine. LOVE it. But I have no optics, either.

Nice AR-15! I got one for armadillo busting recently. It's not a real AR-15, but it operates the same. It shoots 22 LR.

I put a SIG light/laser on it, just for fun and because 'dillers tend to come out at night.

The laser is zeroed at 40m, as is the 3x9x32 Bushnell rimfire scope. It should prove handy for busting running armadillos at night. Just shoot center of mass. It doesn't matter where you hit them, they go into a diller death dance even with head shots. I aim for the middle of the bands. Now I am ready for any armadillo attacks at night!

Love that M&P 15-22. I have 2 of them and they get the most range time of all my guns. My son can go through a brick in one setting. I can't keep up loading mags fast enough.

Seem to be in the $400 range give or take. I've been eyeing the Sig 522 carbine pretty hard. Looks like a fun little gun.

Yeah, around $400 is the going rate. It's a fun gun to shoot. Mine seems reasonably accurate, but I didn't try out a bunch of different ammo to get the best groups as I would my squirrel or silhouette 22s. The trigger is about 7 lbs and I am used to about 2-3 lbs. Mine functions well with CCI Mini-mag HV ammo. I have not tried subsonic or target ammo with it. I shot about 1" at 40m, but the rifle can likely do better than that. I took off the nice adustable sights, but I could do about 2" at 40m with those. This one is for up close at night with occasional longer shots.

Hi folks -

I had wanted to get a picture of my S&W .500 with my Izula, so last night I thought to pull out one of my wife's fur coats to use as a background - turned out decent -

Nice! We actually had the Guns and Knives thread just a while back. Lots of cool toys in there. :D

That .500 is a beast!

By combo do you mean attaching a Junglas bayonet to an AR ?

You do get a lot of reach with the Junglas that way :D Good for when the zombies come, we all know they will.
That'll be some serious arm work to haul around though, but it looks cool.
