Gussied up Remora

Mine are definitely not as nice as those but I have done them.

Ronnie, is that canvas or burlap? It looks like burlap, but using the 13 as scale is throwing me off a touch.
Nice looking either way, I dig em.

It's burlap. I used it for some scales on a larger knife and had some small pieces left over. Just big enough for the Remora.

Thank you for the compliment. Seeing your work made me want to buy another Remora and put some nicer scales on with some exotic wood.

Yours is fantastic.

Thanks, this was from left overs too.

Just so you know, the gap at the front of the foremost cutout lands Right between 1/8" - 9/64". It is like it was made for a 1/8" pin.

After seeing how this came together, I am going to grab a new 1095crovan version and wait til I have some nice looking scrap. I have some pomele sapele, spalted birch and some others waiting for a project.

We shall see what the future holds, maybe a matching 5, 15, reground 13 set?
I can wish

I thought about putting that pin in that gap too so it's not so far forward. Great minds right? On the next one, I'll do that and use some nicer wood as well.

Your project sounds really nice. Please post some pics as you complete each knife.
