Guys I have a problem.. I can't stop buying Spyderco's

I don't have experience with either lube. I use RemOil with Teflon or Benchmade Blue Lube, both are inexpensive. I always go with the thinnest lube, a thick formula will trap more particles and turn gunky.
And yes, try to apply the lube from all angles and then move the blade up and down until it feels smooth all the way, clean it off and see how it works now

How's the tuf-cloth and tuf-glide by sentry??? i've heard it bonds to the steel and is wicked hard to get off.

It is designed to be wear resistant, it acts as a barrier between the metal and the air, moisture wicking..
I find that RemOil works just as good so that is what i'm sticking to
If you are worried about getting it off just get some 90%+ Isopropyl Alcohol and it will come clean off, if that doesn't do it, add some dish soap to the mixture.
Almost any lube is fine as long as it isn't a thick grease

"Force...Kin" .....I see what you did there

Yes the Sharpmaker is superb. But I suggest you get something such as the EdgePro or Lansky for reprofiling jobs along with the Sharpmaker. I have the Lansky Deluxe system and it works wonders, after i'm done on the Lansky, I touch the blade up on the Sharpmaker, I get a wonderful edge everytime, and every once in a while you'll only have to do a few strokes on your Sharpmaker and the blade will be back at its beginning cutting performance.
If you are short on cash I suggest just getting the Deluxe Lansky ($40) and then invest in the Sharpmaker later, maybe a few other members can chime in their opinions as well

To the OP...that is not a problem. The real problem is not having enough money to buy more (I only own one and its not even in my posession yet......and it will probably be my only for a while):D

Manix 2- s30v, hollow ground--its gonna be my first real spydie (owned a Tenacious for about a week-had to sell it for bills but really liked it...and owned a manix 2 LW for about a day-it just isnt for me

I have the same "Problem"...though I view it more as a solution: I'll never have to carry a crummy knife again ;)

Along the same idea, I pre-ordered a PM2 from Knifeworks. What is the wait time. Its been 6 days and I'm having withdrawal symptoms. I needs it.

I don't know if this will work for you, but the cure for my spyderco addiction was trading/selling the knives tat i have had for a while. I am definitely a Spyderco man all the way, I have owned a Spyderco Paramilitary 2 digicam/black, and a Bill Moran, a Sage2, and an ambitious. (And for a full time College student that is a lot of money tied up in knives) Recently I sold the para and ambitious, and Currently trying to sell the Bill Moran. As soon as I Sold my Para i Purchased a Delica 4 wave. And Im thinking im going to jump on a Domino in Blue as soon as i can get my Bill Moran to sell (if i have enough $ left after books). If you have the dough to Collect Spyderco's than i say go for it, feed the addiction, ride that pony! Another trick... A bit underhanded Is buy a spyderco as a gift and play with it a few days, before you give it away, it is not a long term cure, but it might get you a quick fix, at the same time as making a friend very happy.

Why is it that the mention of ponies always seems to come up in a thread about Spyderco knives?
