Spyderco Canis Model C248CFP
Collaboration with defense expert Kelly McCann.
3.36" hollow-ground wharncliffe S30V blade, Peel-Ply Carbon Fiber/G10 laminate scales.

Condition: New in box.

Price: $115 shipped.

Terms: Send pm first ''i'll take.'' and Paypal F&F only payment accept. Monday shipping.

Purchased this from Mark's Outdoor Sports in AL a few months back based on a tip from someone on this forum.
Opened it once, closed and put back in the box before I could cut myself. That ultra-thin hollow ground warnie is absolutely wicked in person and requires careful handling. Don't kid yourself, this is a serious tactical blade.

Yes, I edited the title.
How is this happening? Are these actual knives being sold by the hacker or all just completely fake to scam money out of people using a hacked account with good feedback? I've never seen a hacked account before since I joined, something must have changed to make it easy? Definitely sketchy!

I just got screwed by this hack. I pay to be a member here and would think things would be safer.

If they only accept F&F, it’s most likely a scam. I wanted that Spyderco, but I felt real sure it was a scam. I prefer F&F payment when I sell, but I will post I take G&S also, as a slightly higher price. If a seller refuses any other form of payment, I would back out of the deal.

This is why people need to be careful about their account security (passwords, etc.). People take over accounts and repost other listings. The moderators can't keep our accounts from getting hacked, anymore than Facebook can keep my father-in-law's account from getting hacked once a year. :)

This has scammer all over it. The grammar alone is enough to make you question it

Accounts are getting hacked left and right on about all forums so feedback alone is longer an indicator of a “safe” transaction.

We're not allowed to post discussions on the Exchange but shouldn't there be a sticky warning thread in each sales forum?

Accounts are getting hacked. I’d assume ones with weaker passwords. And no of course the hackers aren’t actually selling anything. They are using your feedback to get someone to pay them.
9 times outta 10 it should be fairly obvious.
- Grammar is usually sketchy (think about those email scams we used to get).
- They are always in a hurry to get paid.
- They won’t provide additional pictures typically with their username or something else in the photo to prove its them. I have seen a few who photoshop their name so you have to be careful but it still looked weird.
- And if the price seems way too low, then guess what??

I buy and sell on many forums and this is the only one that I haven’t exchanged phone numbers before hand. I admit I haven’t felt the need but it seems many people here may have their guards down

How did you get screwed by this hack? If you used PayPal goods and services you would have been covered and refunded. Did you send money friends and family which is a gift and has zero protection for scams?

If you do a search in "This Forum" of key words or phrase in the post, you will find the original post where the hacker copied from.
Also, if you pay F&F and is still charged a fee, it means the paypal account is NOT in US. It's a foreign exchange fee. It stopped me from paying a couple of times.

You say that matter of fact, but there is zero guarantee they will cover you. Anyone who believes otherwise needs to reassess. The only thing goods and services is good for here is that there is a way less likely chance a scammer will be using goods and services.

Why on earth do people buy from friends and family only buyer?! If someone is that foolish they get what's coming to them. COUNTLESS threads here talking about the dangers of friends and family. People keep doing it to save a couple bucks...then get scammed. Good job 👍

I've seen it happen here many times. I've personally used their protection. Go read the good bad and ugly forum. You're new to this party, it's been going on for a long time.
