Had to use my tactical knife in a tactical fashion last night...

what model boker is that? i like it

It's the Boker Plus 'Action 2' model. Liner, AUS8, Pohl design. I found this one on the big auction site a few years ago for $15. Good little knife. I think if you look around you can get them for $25 all day long. It has nice ergos.

Good thing I came upon this after having finished dinner and so I'm thoroughly stuffed, otherwise I would have gone to the store and found myself in a similar situation.

What's that brownish liquid in that little cup next to your plate? Looks like my favorite part of a meal like that ;)

I use my knife on steaks. I know where my knife has been, and it is probably sharper...

Thats a fine looking steak.

Damn now I'm craving a steak. On a side note, I've never seen folding steak knives like the ones linked above before. I also didn't think they'd cost that much either.

I've used my pocket knives several times going to a picnic or potluck, and a few times at restaurants.

Makes cutting smaller bites easy.... and it in my mind helps justify the prices I pay for my knives. :)

I like cutting steak at a bias, mostly because even a mediocre steak seems more tender that way, diner and restaurant knives can barely cut butter.

That would be an 18 yr Glenlivet, sir. I find it refreshing when dispatching such a beast as what is clearly attacking me from the plate there.

I'm always tempted to whip out my knives at restaurants, the steak knives they provide are usually garbage

A beauty of a beast, glad to see you came out of that battle in one piece. However I agree with Fanglekai, I like my cow still moo-ing :)

Steak should be CTK... Carried through kitchen, but this one looks like it put up a good fight, lol

I like mine like this:

Medium rare is about as cooked as I can go. Rare is the best, but I can't stomach medium. If there's anything I hate, it's an overcooked steak.

I'm with you on that. Medium rare or less is how I prefer it. I tend to buy local beef so the sirloin is over $9/lb. KC Strip and ribeye are over $14/lb. Cooking good meat like that past medium rare is wrong.

Amen on that! I can't stand medium, rare or med-rare depending on location.

Clip it's horns and wipe its butt and run it through the dining hall- rare for me my friend!!
Nice Pics, youve convinced me to eat another steak soon!

Im hoping my Benchmade 581 will be up to the task!!

Personally, to those who don't like to use their knives at a steakhouse, I am of the mind that others are too busy shoveling food down their maws to notice anyone else's cutlery in action....Same with concealed pistols- carriers are worried about being profiled, hmmm, prolly not, as everyone else is too preoccupied with themselves to notice what that slight bulge is on someone's hip.
