Posted the same at Armand's GSOE. But I promised to start a new thread for my adventures in the northwest of the USA. First destination: Glacier Park. Going to the sun road, More Glacier Valley. I took some impressing photos. BUT: Just now my gold membership expired. I am in the USA and have problems with internet, WiFi is not always available an I can't pay my gold membership that I can't upload a knife picture neither at Armand's show nor pictures of the impressing nature here in the Rockies.

But a story from today:
We had a strange adventure toady. We are in the glacier mountains for hiking. At least we stepped into a grizzly family one cub on the left, one on the right one in the front, roundabout five yards away. The mom was not visible. I could show you guys a picture but I can't. May be next time when I was able to pay my account. That was an exciting day today

A good guy helped me with the gold membership, thank you!

real nice out there. great pics Sir. enjoy your visit.

Jeez Haebbie, Do you realize how serious situation you were in being that close? Probably the main reason for grizzly attacks is cub protection... Glad you made it away ok.

Enjoy the rest of the trip and stear clear of grizzly Cubs.

Thank you, Koss, we felt the danger. We continued our speech and stopped slowly turned around, and went back and warned other hikers. We couldn't see the adult bear. Later we saw the whole grizzly family at the lakefront from the other side of the sea. A guy who we warned to go ahead took a picture.

It sounds like you had an exciting adventure. It is a good thing momma bear did not attack you. If so, we would have to change your name to Stucke or something.

Enjoying your pictures and reading of your adventures Habbie - hope you are carrying a Buck Knife! OH

Jeez Haebbie, You gotta watch out getting that close to those killer Chipmunks!

Great goat pic. Every time I've seen one they were 1000 feet up.

Ha, i just saw that Bison video a coulle hours ago....some people

I also went to Glacier after the 30th. It was somewhat bittersweet. The scenery is amazing and we thought getting to the park at 6am would help to beat the crowds, but by 9am there are more people in the park than there are in the rest of the whole state of MT. Maybe I'm spoiled by the remoteness of the Winds, but National parks are not really my cup of tea. I get a little angry with how accessible they make our last great frontiers of Wilderness, but i also appreciate how great it must be for the older and disabled people who don't get around well enough to get a chance to see such great areas. I am torn when it comes to National parks, glad we have them, but not for me at this point in my life. So today i will start planing for another Wilderness adventure to the Wind River Mountains. I have gone way too many days in a row seeing other people, so in 300 and 50 days give or take i will escape for at least a few days.....get to where this silly phone won't let me get sucked in

Yes, Steel...y can follow you. Not only that the global warming reduces the glaciers to small snow fields, thousands of tourists are walking around. But! There are a lot more ways where you rarely find other tourists. I take my mountain shoes and my wife an walk other ways.
Now she's making me hurry. We've to buy something for the evening meal. Mail more pics later - from Yellowstone Park droben through the old western prairie.
