Haebbie in the wild west

great pics Sir. we are blessed to have so much in this great country. sadly many americans dont realize it. guess they dont go outside enough and far enough from all the concrete to really see how great it is. you are seeing some of the best of it out in the north western part. glad y'all are having a good trip. thanks for sharing with us.
Thank you JB. We travel through a great nation with great people. I can't repeat it often enough. After Yellowstone there is another national park in the south of Yellowstone park. There we'll spent two more days then we turn to the west's at least to the west coast. At the 17th we have to be at post falls, the end of our journey.

Haebbie, so glad to have met you and that you were able to see some of the outstanding sights in the USA. Thanks for the pictures and comments on your adventure. Preston
Same to you, Preston, it was a pleasure to meet you and I'm very thankful that you helped me in the stupid membership problem.
See you in five years?

I bet many of us Amercan citizens are wishing we were tagging along with some Germans right about now. Great pics, thanks!
Koss, the Americans are so friendly an some dug out the few German words they learned at school.

I checked the weather forecast for Jackson Hole and it should be clear for you, except for smoke from fires in California, Oregon, etc. Sometimes people never get to see the Tetons because of clouds. Jackson has changed a lot since I spent time there during my climbing days 50 years ago. It used to be a quiet, sleepy town with ranch people, ski bums and mountain climbers. Now it is different. Have a good time.

When I was a ski bum, I skied at Jackson Hole, Grand Targhee, and Big Sky. The whole area is bordering on sensory overload. The fishing isn’t bad either. My dad caught 60 trout before breakfast on the Yellowstone river.

Thank you, Mike, for the nice picture.

Lewis and Clark went through the whole country and left a lot of great spots. Where did you find their caverns?

Haebbie
Not far from where your at.

2 hrs maybe?

Wow, great view! This mountain is really impressing. Hope for you the mountain is still sleeping for the next - let's say 50 years. Or are you far away enough for the spit of the volcano?

From the Olympic National Park best wishes to all of you! Just now the weather Kaufpreises more than anything else. One minute the sun shines five minutes later it rains that you can't see the next tree. An we have to build up our tent now.

Haebbie,

You will probably see mountain goats in the Olympics. They are very likeable beasts but they are not native to the Olympics, and they do a lot of damage to the native vegetation. The National Park Service has a plan to get rid of them, so enjoy them while you can.
