Thanks Kevin. It turned out a little better than I expected but, was hoping for more waves than the straight line across. As you can see from the clay line in the first few pics. I'll just have to play around a bit. Already planning out a 6+" bowie with a hamon. Can't wait...
Thanks for all the insight. I was also under the impression that the most of the active stuff were only very close to the surface. This assumption may root in the fact that when we grind underneath we may alter the activity with the heat generated.
You'll notice that thinner clay is better than thick clay. I cannot predict with my clay pattern. Will Morrison has the clay thing down the best I have seen. His Hamon looks like a stencil of his clay, I have no idea how he does it, but it is amazing.

I wish will Morison would share some tips....I'm not even sure what he does different! But it's awesome! I have the same trouble with my hamons not being as "active" as I would like. Tips?
