handle gluing.

Well, we're getting off the topic of gluing handles, but since it's still epoxy.... maybe that counts? {g}

That stich 'n glue method sure works nice. I've built a couple of dingy with that method and it works really good. You can put as many layers of glass on top as you wish to build up extra strength - well, I guess there is a limit. The plywood center works as a GREAT form for forming the glass layers - alternate layers of matt 'n wovening for real build up.

Ken, the folks a Bateau ae essentially saying that high performance stitch and glue boats hosed essentially be composite "sandwich" boats using wood as the one instead of foam. Light weight, but still you are talking about 35 gallons plus of epoxy for say a 22 foot Carolina style offshore outboard. You START on the bottom with 1/2 inch thick Okoume plywood and end up with a finish laminate over over 3/4.
