Folks, what handle combinations would you like to see on your knives? Old favorites, new suggestions, bolster combo's, double bolsters, etc...

Thanks,
Ken

I would love to see red or orange burlap with black single or double bolsters. Also would like to see some more orange glow combo. Also more tapered tangs! Thanks for asking!

Bloodwood with Canarywood bolsters please .. and maybe some Mexican Royal Ebony aka Katalox, where you get the two-tone splits.

I'd love to see more wood handles on small knives (bushboots, kardas, bushcraft kardas).
I'd love to see more single bolsters on wood handles and on shadetree burlap handles on all sizes of knives.
I'd love to see some different liner and pinstripe colours (purple and white liners on an osage handle, for example).
I am already really loving the variety of woods being used. Haven't seen bloodwood or honduran rosewood for a while...those are killer with a black bolster and a bright shiny pinstripe.

I'd love to see more money in my bank account so I could buy more Fiddlebacks...

I'd like antique ivory micarta, with natural canvas. Maybe red or orange pinstripe. Yellow/Butterscotch linen micarta can also be beautiful.

Sverre

PS! Very few Ladyfingers lately (not my problem since I have a perfect one, but...)

I want to see the artists go to town, do what inspires them! I hate to tell an artist what to paint, what medium to use... that might hamper the creativity and energy level of the finished product!

What he said.

But since you asked...

I really like burlap with natural canvas bolsters.

I also think that the handles have become a bit thin. It's great in terms of hiking and packing a light knife, but for me, when working for long periods of time with a thin handled knife, it can really start digging into your hand muscles and create discomfort IMO. I'd like to see some thicker pin stripes and scales all around.

Keep on doing what you guys are doing! The variety and the spontaneity is what makes it fun! Everyone seems to like the burlap micartas and bolsters, but it's cool that when you get one it feels special.

I'd like to see some Carbon Fiber used on some of the sleeker "sexier" knives.

Going way out on a limb i'd love to see some bone and antler used. A bushraptor in stag would be a delight of a wilderness knife. Especially one to pass down!

Just my .02 cents:

- White linen with nat canvas single or double bolsters, nat can/white stack up for liners
- Burgundy canvas, nat can liners & bolsters, white pinstripe
- Recommend experimenting with maroon g10 pinstripes...
- Ironwood or Blackwood w/ nat can bolsters
- More quartersawn red maple, paduak, blood wood, and black locust; all four could be done with black burlap bolsters -- in my humblest of opinions, this would look INSANE along with black pins and a nice white or nat can pinstripe
- More dyed ash!!!! Try a light gray wash; it would look fantastic!
- Bring back Black Locust with nat can and lime green pinstriping
- Shade tree stack ups (like FODs kephart)!
- Saffire or ruby shade tree with nat can bolsters
- Rough canvas or burlap micarta for working knives

Annnd I'm spent. Thanks for the opportunity to throw these out there; I'd be honored to own any of the above stated combos! Regardless if you choose any of these, your guys work keeps getting better and better every batch -- bring em on!

Sorry, I neglected to say thanks for giving everyone the chance to give input. I will 2nd Andy's comment that mosaic pins are a nice touch.

Yes and yes.

And I'll add antique ivory micarta with natural burlap bolsters.

I can't get enough Bone. Oh wait that sounds wrong... I know of 3 bone handled Fiddlebacks. I have one and it is amazing!!

Burlap is may favorite synthetic and 2nd favorite handle.

Any of the woods are beautiful. I'm a bigger fan of stabilized because I really don't like scale shrinkage. Andy's handle are like silk and I hate the feel of the tang.

This is exactly the way I feel. It is awesome and I'm very thankful to be given the opportunity to give ideas. In all honesty, you guys really are rocking the scale/handle scene, well the whole knife scene for that matter.

Thank you.

Keep it up!

Thanks for asking Ken. I think you guys come up with some pretty sweet stuff already. Each week is a new set of goodness.

I love shadetree burlap. The triple in fod's was pretty cool.

I really like OD Canvas.

Gonna go out on a limb and say a butt plate on something like a Bushcrafter would be interesting.
