I'm not getting the pommel, Kevin. I can see something special going on there, but can't make it out. Any pics of that area?

Hello David, check out post #17 as it has an handle view that shows more detail of pommel area and also has a Facebook video, that shows a 360 of the pommel. Thanks.
 
I receive the Fighter/Sheath yesterday and just wanted to response back with a few comments.
First of all, I can't say enough about CAS's professionalism and determination to provide the collector the best experience possible.

Claudio shipped the knife-sheath last Tuesday (completed last Saturday, Monday was a Holiday) and I received it yesterday. Four days is pretty amazing from Argentina to Va. especially considering it had to clear customs in Miami. I was expecting 10 days > to 2 weeks.

Included in the package was the very well-done and professional Certificate of Authenticity shown below.

The Fighter was everything I expected and more. Design, material, fit/finish, attention to detail; all top notch. It is a LOT of Fighter at over 18" OAL, but still very ergonomically pleasing for such a large piece. It is going to present a challenge for me in deciding how to display it.

The sheath is amazing. Very well made and well designed to complement the Fighter. In addition to the beautiful tooling and inlay/overlays on the front (snakeskin,Ostrich), the back of the sheath is fully tooled as well. Thanks Marcelo for putting so much time and effort into this sheath.

In closing; Claudio, Ariel and Marcelo, all very skilled artist/craftsmen/businessmen.

 
It is a real beauty of a knife and sheath. The whole package. Sounds like a great experience all around and that is what custom knives are all about. Enjoyed watching it come together and sharing in the process. Look forward to seeing how you display it.

Sounds like you were going through a standard CAS experience my friend - Claudio and his brothers have been working on quite a few projects over the last couple of years and my personal experience always echoed what you experienced - top on all accounts! 😁

Have you allready thought about a next step - maybe a variant with an all integral hanger guard? Bet Claudio would pull it off in record-time... 😀
